My husband-to-be and I come here often. It is a great local place for beer and food. The bartenders are very friendly, attentive and are always checking in with you. The food is good at a decent price. Karaoke nights are a blast! They also have pool leagues here. Yes, they serve more than just beer. They do brew some of their own beer here and those are really tasty.
I would recommend this bar to casual, calm, down-to-earth types of people.
These people that are writing bad reviews are retards. This place has great micro brews AND bud/coors/mixed drinks for those who don't like craft. The staff is always a pleasure to see and they do a great job. The food is better than you might think too. Plus they have live music on certain nights. It doesn't have the flashy bells and whistles of most breweries but it also doesn't have the crowds or loud atmosphere. You wont find a better place to chill and have a great beer.
Chili cheese fries were good. The beer was good. The staff was nice. Not my crowd, mostly older (70+) regulars, but they have games, darts, pool etc. Lots of tvs. Should do something geared for younger crowd to bring in new people.
Ironworks has been a Lakewood staple for decades. Much like your favorite dive bar it is frequented by locals. The live music selection is fun and catchy but not so loud that you can't converse with your party. There are plenty of pool tables and dart boards. Seating is spread out so you can bring all your friends and fit comfortably. The beer selection is as wide spread as the seating so you should not have trouble finding your taste of choice.
This place is about good beer and good friends with typical bar food. Mike (the owner) always has my favorite IPA, Hopkilla, on the menu and the Broncos on the TVs. The staff is usually pretty quick to take your order and get you a new beer when you start running low. Yeah, the place could use some decorating help, but if it keeps the skinny-jean hipsters away, I'm alright with that.
