Was greeted warmly. We sat in the screened porch area that overlooks the swamp. The food was good. It didn't rock my world but it wasn't bad either. My pulled pork meal was around $16. It's 1 of the 2 sit down restaurants on the property
Nice little smokehouse located on westgate riber ranch property. Absolutely beautiful atmosphere and very friendly staff. We did have to wait about 20 mins for a table on a Friday night but that was not worries to us. We all enjoyed out appetizers of gator tail and wings while we waited for our meal! My husband and i got the ribeye which was great and the kids all enjoyed their kids menu items. This was our first time here and they were definitely understaffed... But who isnt right now!!! Regardless the service was amazing and Heather took great care of us! Amazing work team!!! We will definitely be back!!!!!
Upon reading some of the reviews we brought food with us. But we got here late to check in and it was just easier to go the the Smokehouse Grill and I am so glad we did. The girls were fascinated with the outdoor patio seating on the water so they could look for alligators. The staff were all very professional and friendly. Tia our server was delightfull and informative. I had the brisket which was moist and flavorful. The girls had chicken strips and fries and the fries were so good we ordered more. The wait was not that long and they went out of their way to see we had everything we needed. We are looking forward to the breakfast buffet!

We just returned home from our long weekend at the Ranch (3/13 - 3/15) After checking in we headed to the Smokehouse for breakfast, our server Izzy was our first face of Westgate (outside of checking in at the Front Desk). Izzy was friendly, welcoming and went out of her way to make our morning pleasant before we started our day. Our food arrived quickly and Izzy made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal, refilling beverages and checking in with us, it was fairly quiet, Izzy was sweet to stop and chat with us about our plans, encouraging us to take advantage of the many activities offered, highlighting things the grandchildren would enjoy etc. Although fairly new to the Ranch, she tried to answer our questions about this and that on the property with enthusiasm for our stay. We returned as our last stop before heading home on Monday afternoon for lunch and were lucky to have Izzy serve us again! The older grandchild wasn't feeling well having become overheated and slightly dehydrated (after being on the Swamp Buggy), Izzy quickly gathered ice, extra napkins and brought water to help while we got settled at our table. Izzy checked with us to assure things were alright with my granddaughter, took our order and returned with additional ice and water to be sure she was getting hydrated and feeling better even suggesting a crisp salad would be a good choice for a cool meal that would add additional fluids to help her feel better. Our food was delicious, Izzy was attentive while also tending to other tables in an equally timely manner. Our first and last impression of River Ranch was Izzy, she represented the Ranch and the Smokehouse extremely well!!! The food was fresh and good (mostly burgers and salads in addition to breakfast), service was quick and attentive. Our only concern involved a carry out order made for Saturday night which took an extremely long time to be prepared then sat at the register for over 20 minutes before anyone called the name to pick up and go. The food was cold by the time it was opened, with a microwave it was heated up and dinner was served. It was busy and clearly wait staff was working shorthanded and the kitchen was working hard to keep up with orders and take out. Front of the house were all rushing around serving, seating and cashing out at the register although they smiled and greeted everyone who came through the door and never let on they were all multi-tasking while getting guests seated and served. Outside of our disappointment with our dinner Sunday night we really enjoyed the Smokehouse for breakfast & lunch. We plan to return to the Ranch and would look forward to visiting the Smokehouse again.
We had dinner here twice on our last trip to River Ranch. The staff was great, the food was delicious, and the prices were fair. Saturday was busy, but Sunday empty... but the service was good both nights. Great burgers and try the fries with Ranch... Thanks for the tip Angel!!!

We had to look for our server for drinks, then for silverware, then for the check. I got the chicken sandwich and it was all bread. We're actually went back 3 weeks ago, a promise we made to family and it was totally redeemed. Service was great and so was the food so maybe just a bad day. Im changing the rating because of this
I’ve been here multiple times. I’ve always had a great experience but this last trip 2021. Bailey was the most sweetest & helpful waitress I’ve ever had. She was actually interested in the ppl she waited on. My family loved her. We talked about her going to school & the building going on in the area. She was prefect. I really hope all her wants & needs in life come true because when you meet someone like her, you really do wish more ppl were like her. She made the trip/vacation. Thank you Bailey. You are one amazing lady!
We ended up here by accident. It's a bit out of the way. Staff were reasonably attentive and the food was ok. There was nothing particularly bad about our meal here but there wasn't anything particularly great either. On a brighter note, there's some good views from the restaurant and you can go for a wonder around after you've eaten too.
For being out in the middle of nowhere they sure can cook! Majority of the menu is fried but that doesn't stop them from having a great presentation and quality! You can also enjoy grilled salmon and shrimp. Aileen was a great addition to the atmosphere Thank you!
