Great little restaurant! I had the Golden tile fish (never heard of this fish before) with fried spinach and red potatoes. For dessert the key lime pie. It was all super delicious. My parents had the grouper and loved it. The atmosphere and service was excellent. Very relaxing outside seating area with corn hole and all! I highly recommend this hidden gem! �
This place is amazing! Food is fabulous, waiters/waitresses are very good, looking after you right to the end of your visit there. You may have to wait a bit as this place is so busy because it's so good, but worth every bit of the wait !
Really good place for fresh fish or one of the best burgers around. Visually it may turn off some people but service and food is all great. Really busy at lunch and dinner.
I ate at the Crazy Fish in June 2015 & loved everything about my meal - including the fried spinach, which others have panned. It's an unusual & quirky side dish, but I enjoyed it. I agree with other reviews - you would pass this place by if you were unaware - but my Uncle who lives locally took me there. The atmosphere inside is fun. I look forward to going back again.
I took my out of town family there for our annual Thanksgiving lunch and discovered one the best fish restaurants in Florida. Everything was delicious, cooked just right and the service was great. We were a large group and they gave us a table in an alcove which they had prepared in advance. If you go there I suggest that you call ahead because we arrived 15 minutes after opening on a Tuesday and they were already full. The server did an excellent job and never gave us the impression she was in a hurry to get us out. As we were leaving the Owner approached me and thanked us for coming, Now that is good service. I observed the chef preparing to filet the grouper and they looked like they had been swimming in the Gulf the previous day. I KNOW my fish also!!
We enjoyed the fried oysters and mussels. Both were above average and priced well. However, skip the fried spinach and the seafood chowder which had sausage but no seafood. Service was exceptionally slow and multiple mistakes made on our order. With a little tweaking this could be a great restaurant.

Crazy Fish Bar & Grill. What a gem tucked away in Lake Wales!!! This review comes from a long time Florida resident who has had plenty of fresh sea food both on the east and west coasts of the state. The sea food here is fresh, delicious and prepared with care. They have an open kitchen concept and there are no greasy smells anywhere. The staff is very friendly and efficient. If you live in the area or are passing by, do not miss the chance to stop by. It is well worth it and the prices - keeping in mind it's seafood - are extremely affordable. Enjoy!!
Outstanding seafood in central Florida. The food is fresher than seafood along the coasts of Florida. Very friendly staff also. If you are in Lake Wales, you need to try Crazy Fish Bar & Grill.
The grouper sandwich was excellent! The fish was very fresh and prepared perfectly (we both chose grilled). Fries were great if not for Urbanspoon high rating I would have driven right by this funky little place.

Crazy Fish Rocks FRESH SEAFOOD!!!. Crazy Fish is amazing on many levels beyond the fact that the seafood here is ACTUALLY FRESH.....NOT FROZEN. Want cheaper......go find another seafood restaurant in the area that delivers fresh seafood rather then the normal FROZEN stuff. Good luck! This family took over a crumbling building with probably the worst reputation in Lake Wales for many years. (It was a slaughter house if u catch my drift) Against all odds they have survived for 11 years and the community of Lakes Wales is better off that the Crazy Fish exists. Because what came before them was not exactly something worthy of discussion. Point blank....those in the know love "The Fish." Those looking for the cheapest meal in town....wont. I have no issue paying for quality...and the fact Fresh Florida Seafood exists in Central Florida is a GOOD thing. Kudos to an incredible, friendly wait staff. We discovered the Crazy Fish on day one and have been regulars ever since. Great food and even better people.
May not look like much from the outside but this place is a gem! Amazing, friendly service; fantastic fresh seafood; great entrees, and real key lime pie! Thank you guys for the excellent food and service. Will definitely come back next time I am in town:)

We sat down on our way to Miami because my wife wanted some fish. She saw the reviews and particularly the Key Lime pie one.
The restaurant is a bit old and smells like it but it feels like you are near the ocean or in an old ship. Pretty good magic there.
Let's go from there: the KL is very sweet, too much fat on the crust and not much lime flavor. I asked the waitress for a quarter of lime and as soon as I squished on it, everything got better. I like my KL with Lime flavor and a spike sour.
The shrimp scampi was plain and soaked on butter but the shrimp had shrimp flavor. They really could have improved it by seasoning the butter with some garlic, lightly fried the shrimp and then tossed the linguine on it.
The fish was a bit dry and could use some sauce to balance it. The salad on the other hand was moist and crunchy. Could have accompanied the dishes instead of coming first by itself. I ate 3 of them since no one wanted them.
The steak was delicious and cooked to perfection, crispy crust, perfectly seasoned. I could also have drip some lime but didn't have it then.
One thing that could have been perfect was the sweet fries. It was crispy but there was no need to add sugar. It overpowers the natural sweetness of the potato. No need.
And unfortunately for me, I forgot my umbrella.

Checking out some citrus groves on lake Wales and decided to try this place. Super cute old Fl cracker building, not fancy, but great seafood! The clam strip appetizer was amazing.. lightly breaded nothing chewy going on here, fresh and tender! I had the grouper basket with broccoli instead of fries. Huge piece of fish and huge serving of broccoli! Great hush puppies too, and cold beer. Check them out if you’re in the area .
Yes, the food is Great..I am a frog legs fan..did not disappoint..the fried clam tender...the conch fritter awesome. Service was quick and accurate. Cook said hi on the way in. I will be back!!

We were traveling to North Florida so, on our way, we decided to stop by this place because it looked very homey and welcoming. But we thought it was exactly what we got. We walked in. We were greeted like we came home. He looked like a big house full of nice people everybody smiling and happy and enjoyed their food and atmosphere. The food was fine just like home cooked food nothing fancy but nothing you wouldn’t eat. We had their fried cod, fish, fried snapper, fish, fried calamari, the clam chowder, food and red potatoes with some beans. We didn’t get to finish our food because it was so filling I guess because everything was fried and potatoes were Made with oil, but overall experience was good. We did not leave hungry. I also had the side salad, which was great. There was a lot of parking outside in the yard free and self parking only. It’s kind of hidden behind a gas station so once you get there, your GPS takes you to the gas station. You have to go behind the gas station into the small street and make a right turn. It will be on your left side.
Met some of our oldest friends here second time in 5 years. This place was as much fun as it was then. Food was excellent my fried shrimp was spot on and my fries were great. There was a couple other platters as well a burger and a shrimp special. Mostly sweet tea but the slice of key lime at the end of the meal was truly a treat. I plan to come back here again hopefully sooner than later. Parking was in a dirt lot. Some construction going on I'm sure it's all being improved. Worth the effort to visit.
Talk about not judging a book by its cover💁🏾♀️. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, twin lobster tails and 4oz. crab cakes. The Oyster Rockefeller was on point, and the clam chowder was delicious. We will definitely be back. Glad to know it’s not far from home👍🏾.

On an ebike ride around Lake Wailes and area, decided to treat ourselves to Crazy Fish. Delicious as usual. We shared 2 styles of shrimp, sweet potato fries with key lime dipping sauce, slaw and ceasars salad.
So glad we’ve found this place! Their Cajun pasta and blackjack burger, amazing! Delicious house dressing, hush puppies, garlic bread and coleslaw. Their garlic habanero hot sauce was so good, we had to bring one home! Fun decorations, lively restaurant, friendly staff, fast service, very busy but worth the wait!
Funky rustic fish house. Seafood gumbo was delicious with mild spicyness.
