I have been a customer since they opened, there is not a better restaurant in the area. It is the best happy hour deal in the Lake St Louis area and the food is absolutely fantastic. Nothing is frozen or pre-prepared at this restaurant, everything, and I mean everything including toasted ravioli, the cannelloni, Etc is prepared fresh on sight. The chicken wings are out of this world. They usually have live music as well, you cannot beat Donatelli's. Very reasonably priced, except for happy hour, which is very underpriced - best happy hour deal around town.
Been wanting to try Donatelli's for quite a while. Finally, for our Anniversary, my wife and I decided to try it. It just took one bite of our entrée and we both said, " We have found our new favorite restaurant. My wife had the Cavatelli Con Broccoli. She said this is the best dish she has ever eaten. She could taste the cream in the sauce. And the flavor of the mushrooms and broccoli were not drowned within the sauce like most places. Myself, I had the Seafood Diavolo. This is the real deal, folks. Real crab meat, not the cheap imitation. And the cream sauce with a touch of marinara was absolutely delish. Marinara at most places is so acidic, not here. And the linguini you can tell, was homemade. Not in the least, starchy. Absolutely savorous. We can't wait for the next visit and try another of their many entree's . The service was great. And Barb and Don were pleasurably personable. Thank you for making our 27th Anniversary, memorable.
We ordered toasted ravioli as an appetizer, which was very good, in fact I would say it was some of the best that I have had. The real shining star was the Tortellini Donatello. The portions were very generous, super tasty and served fresh and hot. Our server was not super attentive, but the food was outstanding.
The staff was friendly, the place was clean, the food was excellent. The house salad is great and the bread is fresh and soft. We got seafood diavolo and chicken parmigiano and both were so good. The food does take a little while but just like their website says, it's made to order so you should sit back and enjoy some wine - which we sure did!
Food was pretty good. Portions are good sized. Staff was friendly. The 4 person appetizer sampler was fantastic, just filled us up so much we barely had room for entree's.
Great service. Wonderful food. The calamari appetizer was the best I have had.. The Seafood Fettuccine was lovely and the Eggplant spaghetti divine. One of the only really good Italian meals we have since moving to Missouri seven years ago. Would recommend this restaurant to friends and will return!
Spectacular family restaurant with excellent food and great service. We had a 3-year old with us and the waitress hand mixed a chocolate milk special for him.
I love this itialian restaurant! 😋 We get excellent service every time we go here and the food is so so delicious... I love the ambiance of this place.. very romantic ❤ atmosphere.. and the complimatry bread and butter is the bomb. 💣
