we have been going to Bentley's since we were married in 1981 35 years and never have we had 1 complaint. Last night we had family in from Denver and they asked where we thought we could get the best steak at the lake? Without hesitation I said Bentley's they agreed it was as exceptional. I called for reservations we had a great window view and the busboy took some fantastic pictures of us outside on the patio. Bentley's is Hands down the best seafood and steak on the lake.

Bentley’s is your classic, old school style eclectic steakhouse and oh boy is it good.. The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance with wood trim, stained glass, and candlelit tables. A beautiful patio although personally I’ve not sat out there (yet).
The service is absolutely incredible. Servers are very attentive and friendly, they really know their stuff and make every table feel welcomed and special. Ask for Steve, he’s a legend and will make sure you’re well taken care of!
Food is of course delicious.. excellent prime rib, escargot are the best I’ve ever had, the salad with house Mayfair dressing is delicious, apps, French onion soup, scallops, etc.. anything you want, they have! Same with desserts.. a huge dessert menu with after dinner drinks and boozy ice cream.
I’ve been to pretty much every restaurant at the lake and in this “fine dining/steakhouse” category you aren’t going to find anything better than Bentley’s.
Do yourself a favor and check this place out.. prices are still extremely reasonable and you will love your dinner experience at Bentley’s!
Amazing! My only critique is wishing they were open on Sunday and Monday. From the stain glass windows to the tapestries, the atmosphere truely makes you feel as if you are dining in an English Manor. Service was prompt, water glasses never went empty. The scallops on the half shelf were incredibly flavorful and the house salad dressing, Mayfair, was delightfully creamy. Our prime rib and filet mignon were done to perfection. Our pictures aren't the greatest because of the dim lighting, but it only adds to the ambiance. We recommend a reservation because it does get busy, but it's worth it!
First time eating here. A pleasurable experience. Upscale restaurant with views of the lake.
Our waitress was very nice and accommodating.
The food was delicious. I had Oysters Rockefeller, crab legs that were already cut open and ready to eat and a ribeye steak with roasted butter garlic potatoes. All very delicious!
Such an incredible dinner. We had French Onion Soup, Clam Chowder, salad, and Chicken Wellington. Unfortunately we were so full we didn’t have room to try any of the excellent looking deserts. Can’t wait to go back. It is a really nice restaurant that walks the right rope of fine dining without pretentiousness.
Fantastic food, exceptional service. Very pricey, but that was expected. Lobster and filet was marvelous. The special "wild thing" dessert was stupidly wonderful.
If you need a place to splurge and treat yourself, Bentley's is that place! Will go again when in the area with a special occasion (or someone treating 😄).
Went down to the Ozarks on a buddies golf trip. Wanted a good steak and we were told to try Bentley's. Owner Bill greeted us. My buddy made the reservation under "Batman". When we walked in, Bill sang the 70's Batman theme to us. Sandy served us a fabulous meal. Great place! Would definitely go back again!
One of the best steakhouses in the lake area. Service is unbeatable. Pricing is not bad at all. Very good view of the lake. Desert drinks.
Came up from Springfield for a conference and saw the prime rib on their menu and had to stop in. All I can say is OH My GOD! Best piece of prime rib I've had in years if not decades. Whatever you are doing don't change a thing about it. They have it in different cut sizes so it will satisfy anyones appetite. The atmosphere was quiet and quaint like eating in an old English tavern. The wait staff was friendly and the service was super fast. The food came out exactly how I ordered it. I wish you guys had a location in springfield. We need one badly. Keep up the excellent work! It was well worth the drive.
This was a great experience, start to finish. The service was excellent and they offer many touches that are rare today, like making all of the salad dressings in-house. Overall we felt like it was a good value, considering how much food you get for the money. The well-preserved retro decor alone is worth a visit.
Went there on Wednesday the night of the street party. My brother and his wife were in town and we couldn't pass up eating there. The smell of shrimp scampi was so wonderful, I had to get a half order with my prime rib, all cooked to perfection. My brother's ribeye and his wife's salmon also cooked as ordered. The shrimp cocktail appetizers were old school prepared and delicious. Given the heat wave outside, we all had to finish with the ice cream drinks, the grasshoppers and pink squirrel were delicious. Service top tier as usual, a great dining experience.
