Shanghai Chinese Restaurant

The food here is great, but their health precautions during the current pandemic are severely lacking. They do have a plastic barrier up and require that all patrons wear masks, which is good. However, 3 of the 4 cooks in the back were not wearing masks, the 4th wearing a mask incorrectly. (Nose out) None of them were wearing gloves and were handling food. Myself and a handful of other customers clearly heard one of the cooks sneezing and coughing repeatedly in the back. To top it all off they were requiring customers to sign a waiver upon receiving their food. I ended up asking for my money back and leaving. To be clear there is no 'missed context' here. If you choose to not wear a mask they can turn you away, but they will not follow the same rules despite being the ones handling your food. I used to love this place and have received takeout at this location for the last five years, dozens of times per year. I made a point to eat at this place during the pandemic to support them cause I loved their food. Now I'll never be returning.
