One of our very favorite restaurants! The Perez family is wonderful and after going there so many times, you begin to feel like a member of their family! We love so much here - the shrimp iza, beef empanadas, fried yucca, house salad, house rice, churrasco steak with chimichurri sauce, mixed grill, tilapia, grouper, rotisserie chicken and the cookies for dessert. And it is a BYO!!! Definitely give this place a go!
Fantastic food coupled with personalized service
First class dining coupled with a creative menu
Loved the Argentine flavor ......Bonus byob
We can't wait to return and bring our friends!!!
Cozy neighborhood restaurant. Always drove by but never stopped in until tonight. Skirt steak was perfectly seasoned& cooked, grilled octopus was amazing and the flan dessert was on point. I’ll be back for sure.
It felt like eating at your grandparents. Welcoming, Healthy portions, smiles. My friend had the ceriche and liked it immensely. We all sampled the the empanadas. Sought, flaky, and flavorful.
For our entrée we ordered the pork chop, shrimp, and roasted chicken. So, so good. The tirimisu for dessert was good.
The restaurant is BYOB.
We will be back.
Great food and very homely atmosphere. We ordered chicken and beef empanadas, both were good for an appetizer. We ordered churrasco and it was very tasty. Chef came out to say hi to us. It’s a family own restaurant and everything is freshly made upon order.
Sometimes you miss out the great restaurant which is located right in your backyard/neighborhood and you go for big names. Oh god, glad I did try this. Right now due to the corona scene, we don’t go out, only time is when we go for evening 3-4 miles strolling. We saw this restaurant ( not the first time, but we used to not pay attention) and saw their menu. It looked promising. Of course, there was no Dine-in, we chose for takeout and opted for their ‘ 20 for 2 people’ (includes Fries- fried rice- chicken rotisserie and baby back ribs.)
Trust me you will forget these chains restaurants ribs after eating Churrasco’s ribs. Marinate of chicken and ribs-spices they use, it’s totally amazing. Never had ribs like this before. The quantity was more than enough. Ribs ( 6 Pc) were sumptuous, to die for. Chicken rotisserie, it’s nothing like of blunt Costco’s one. It was great too and so was its rice. The great meal overall. Totally loved it. Love..!!
Update (On 7-Feb-23)
This is one of the hidden gems in my neighborhood and one of those restaurants in your block, which you pass every day, wanted to try but never tried. Glad we did today (and what a special occasion it was)
It’s a small family-run Peruvian restaurant, with a limited menu and they also have “specials”.
We ordered –
Fish Milanesa: breaded Tilapia with salad: it was good. 3.5/5
Baby Back Ribs – Their seasoning, it’s amazing- 4.5/5
Salmon: it was a little bit disappointing - After the first bite, you can get the feeling that the fish was not that fresh, otherwise preparation was good. – 3.5/5
Shrimp Iza: shrimp sauteed in Garlic/spinach- it was good (but less in quantity), only concern shrimp were not deveined (Ideally they should be) – 4/5
Ok, all the dishes- Salt was on the higher side, I understand sodium & salt makes you eat more, but each item-it was salty, except that the food was good.
Ambiance-wise, yeah it’s a good, small cute restaurant, Peruvian paintings hanging on the wall.
Service: it was Wednesday night so only 2 tables were occupied, so yeah no issues in waiting or service. Uncle was helpful with my questions.
I guess we expected more (taste-wise), but it was a good experience. Overall 7.5/10
I've been here several times before and usually wait to write a review to make sure my experiences are consistent. I'm happy to say Churrasco Grill in Lake Hiawatha never disappoints. On our last visit, we had Shrimp Iza, sautéed shrimp with garlic and baby spinach served with yuca for an appetizer, as well as the cerviche. Both were excellent and flavors were well balanced. For my entree I had halibut with broccoli and potatoes, all cooked and seasoned to perfection. Our other entree was skirt steak, equally perfect. Although we were full by that point, the pumpkin cheesecake sounded too good to refuse. It was amazing. Don't miss out on this hidden gem of a restaurant. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
Always love the service and food here. Reservations suggested on weekends. Always great to share appetizer, salad, sometimes entree so you have room for dessert. BYOB
The baked empanadas and the Shrimp Iza were off the hook. The staff/service were on point. The main entrée delicious. Awesome place family owened.
It’s our first time to come to this restaurant, it’s a shame coz it is around our neighborhood and was not even visited. Our group wanted to celebrate our friends birthday. We agreed to go to one of the resto in this same street but unfortunately, the AC was down. So we have to look for a place randomly, I picked Churrasco Grill. This place didn’t disappoint. We were seated outside by the backyard, AlFresco style. The ambiance is nice and simple. The food is tasty, but a little salty but it compliments with mix green salad(delish!!!) on top, Beef Milanesa. The service is good, and a family owned restaurant. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.
Churrasco’s dishes are to die for. Ceviche is superb. Fried yuca. Their signature steak, Churrasco… so flavorful and tender. Come, enjoy, become part of their family. An owner who loves what he does and enjoys the company of those who enjoy his food.
Family run very friendly delicious food..been there many times..highly recommend.
