Everything about Barbsider BBQ is on point! The greeting as you walk through the door is friendly and welcoming, the service is kind and efficient and everything about the BBQ is on point! I had the bbq chicken sandwich with a side of cold slaw; All I have to say is WOWZA! The crusty bun soaks up the delicious bbq sauce which isn’t overly sweet or thick and the tender juicy chicken is just yummy. Now let me say the cold slaw is a must! It’s homemade and crispy with a delicious dressing that has just a hint of sweetness. Lake George is great and Barnsider BBQ makes it better!
Visited with my family today, one of the best meals I've had. My waitress was friendly, attentive, especially to my kids offering crayons and drawing paper. From the nachos w/brisket to the pulled pork on ciabatta sandwich, to a blt and a juicy chicken breast, everything was outstanding, perfectly seasoned and cooked not too forget the best potato skins ive ever eaten. Definitely gonna return for some live music and more great food.
We went to Lake George to visit the Ice Castle and found this delicious BBQ joint down the street.
Our food was cooked perfectly, had the best smoked flavor and the sauce was the perfect blend of sweet, tangy with enough of a bite to enjoy it, but not overpowering the rest and biting back - so good! The mac&cheese was amazing too.
Oh! And please save room for a pan-baked chocolate chip cookie with ice cream. It is worth it, Heavenly!
We also liked the size of the environment. It was busy but didn't feel crowded. We felt very safe. The staff were publicly following all COVID safety precautions and guests were seated with space between the tables of other patrons.
Plan an Ice Castle and dinner at Barnsider day-trip and you won't be disappointed.
Didn’t even add ketchup to the Brisket burger it was so good. Definitely ask for the BBQ sauce; assuming it was homemade, as it was a unique tangy flavor. Wife got the brisket panini with fresh cut fries which was also very good. It had some homemade slaw on it. Macaroni And cheese was hot and fresh, definitely a solid choice.
We stopped here because we love BBQ and also because we still have our concerns about COVID and try to always eat at restaurants with outdoor seating. It was slightly chilly outside but they had small fire pits spread out amongst the tables. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Sweet potato fries were perfectly crispy and sweet. French onion soup felt like it was lacking a little flavor but I'm also very picky. The burger with brisket was delicious although sloppy to eat so ask for extra napkins.

Dog friendly, fun atmosphere with lots of outdoor (they have two separate patios) & indoor seating. We got the St.Louis ribs and they were really good, truly fall of the bone! They're bacon cheeseburger is also a great option! They give you free honey (non gluten free) cornbread with butter...wow! They also gave free refills for non alcoholic drinks (Pepsi products, water and amazing lemonade (not too sweet but also not overly bitter))
They also gave our dog a HUGE water 💦 bowl, so she had plenty to drink. And they even gave a true doggie bag for her for the scraps we we're going to give later on.
Very friendly and thoughtful staff, I would highly recommend.
It was nice experience. I really enjoyed the food. Me and my family came up to Lake George for Father Day weekend back in June.
Great BBQ food, friendly staff, and best of all - dog friendly! Please note that there is a 4% fee added for credit/debit card orders, which is in the menu's fine print.
We got a platter with two BBQ entrees and two sides along with two sodas, and the 2022 inflation total came to around $33 before tip when you count the 4% card fee.
Location is great - right at the entrance to the village if you're coming from Queensbury. There's a patio and indoor dining, too. Will definitely be coming back.
Since my boyfriend and I started smoking meats at home, we've never gone back to grilling. This restaurant had the most amazing smoked pork, ribs, and brisket. We got a little of everything to try The! The potato salad was phenomenal as well. We liked the Homeade BBQ sauce so much that we bought a bottle to take home with us to use on our own ribs! 10/10 Recommend this restaurant for your stay in Lake George.
