Albatros is great, greasy Mexican food with a huge bonus to anyone living in Irvine. It's located in Lake Forest, so the Irvine Thought Police can't force it to close at 9p.m. like they do to everything else in Irvine.
The California Burrito is my staple here. If I'm feeling like a change, I'll order the California Burrito, but switch the meat from Carne Asada to carnitas.
My only complaint about this place is that it's super popular, and therefore, it takes a while for your food to get done. Even when I come here at 2a.m. it's still jam packed.
I've gone here a bunch, but didn't believe the reviews about the carne asada fries, just picked some up, and let me tell you they are Friggin bomb!!! Plenty of food for more than one person!!!
Great utility Mexican food, got the pollo asada burrito with a side of fries. The place gets packed at lunch so come early. Remember they are cash only so bring your dollars.
The breakfast burrito is super tasty! They use french fries instead of potatoes but its fantastic! I almost always order it.
Decent prices. Good food (not great). HUGE portions! Just my type of place. Not only that, the place was packed and still got our food in less than 15 min.
Fish burrito is so good for lunch. For breakfast the chorizo burrito is great and of course the carne asada fries are incredible!!
