The Del-bar

Many places in the Dells do not take reservations so we didn't think to make reservations for supper at the Del-Bar in the off season. There was a 45 minute wait on Thursday evening or they serve a full menu in the bar with no wait. We opted for the bar. We ordered crab cakes ($20!) for appetizers and pan seared walleye and bone-in ribeye for our meals. Crab cakes were a bit on the small side but had excellent flavor and texture and no filler. The roumalade sauce is probably the best we've ever had. Likewise, the walleye was perfectly cooked so that the delicate texture came through complimented by the tartar sauce. The ribeye was one of the best we've ever had (and we've had lots). Melt in your mouth tender with tons of flavor paired with creamy mashed potatoes. The Del-Bar tops our list of restaurants in the Dells.

Easily top 5 best meals ever. Went last Friday for birthday weekend. I had ribeye with bone, hashbrowns, spinach salad. Spouse had pork schnitzel with avocado salad, squash and grasshopper drink. Apps were fried asparagus. Wow! Everything excellent. Then our waiter Shane was amazing. Friendly, attentive and helped us order when asked questions since our first time here. Then found out at the end that this was his second week there. Just Wow! Thank you for the great food and service. We will be back.

Went for my mother's 82nd birthday. She had the blue oysters as appetizer which she said was very good, we also shared calamari, they gave a large quantity they were good. The special was prime rib which we both ordered the 12 oz perfect size, the prime rib was melt in your mouth delicious, we also had the mashed potatoes which were tasty, for dessert they brought out a complimentary chocolate Mousse for my mom for her birthday which was good, I had a grass hopper which was perfect size and very tasty. Our waiter Richie was friendly, efficient and informative to our questions. Definitely would go back and recommend for others to go for a nice dinner when in Dells.
