What an unexpected, yet wonderful experience!!! The food was outstanding and the service was awesome.... Thank You, Arlene, for being such a fantastic server!!! We totally enjoyed having you and just want to commend you for the outstanding attention you paid to us!! Also, special thanks to Laura, who made our accommodations so pleasant! This "Gem" is so welcomed!! The food is absolutely delicious and the presentation is A-1!! Four of us enjoyed dinner on Saturday and we weren't disappointed... what a lovely experience we had!! Anxiously awaiting our next visit..

Absolutely phenomenal food and service. We had the gougeres which I cannot recommend enough. I've been to enough French restaurants to know if there's a beet salad to get it - and this one did not disappoint! Everything we had was delicious! Lamb shoulder stew was a highlight, as was Arleen who took great care of us! My wife and I both left talking about how we will be coming back soon. Highly recommend!

If you want to feel like you've been transported to Paris, Reve serves the best bistro food in the Bay Area - hands down. Every one of the many meals I've eaten there has been memorable, but the latest one was to die for - their recent winter menu additions are fantastic. We started with garlicky, buttery bread dipping required escargot and melt in the mouth gougeres, before feasting upon beautifully tender veal sweetbreads and the most deeply flavored and comforting mushroom risotto I've ever had (with the addition of an extremely generous - see photo! - shaving of black truffles, a steal at $20 add on) All of the staff and owners are lovely, and they have a thoughtfully curated and decently priced wine list with some hidden gems you'd struggle to find at retail. Go feast on their winter menu and stumble home with your wallet a little lighter, but your stomach and heart immeasurably happier.

Really mediocre food, and for a steep price to be honest. The chicken liver mousse was quite good, but everything else was underwhelming: The cheese puffs were extremely tasteless and uninteresting The escargots were about average The oysters were weirdly dry, and one out of the six was a cloudy white color and tasted off. (The other five tasted fine, but nothing special) The lamb shoulder stew was really sad. The meat was cooked and seasoned okay, but the vegetables were tasteless and soggy. The mashed potatoes were under-salted and pretty gummy

Excellent main dishes. Steak and sweet cheeks to die for. But as amazing as the actual French fries are, they seem out of place as their common side dish. They don't sop up (the delicious) cream well. Then you must buy extra bread for that. While the mousse was nice and rich, the dessert dishes generally were unremarkable: the macaroons far too sweet. The service was decent. I noticed our server generally addressed males directly, but not so much the women.

Amazing! The best place I've eaten in the East Bay. We had the trio of deviled eggs and they are a must. The risotto was fantastic and the salmon was a *chef's kiss* This place is a must!
