Max's Pool Hall

I've spent many many late nights here shutting them down. From pool leagues , foosball tournaments, or the chili and chips you don't want to finish bc it's so good. BUT you have to try the double stacked, cheese, bacon, and to top it off, make it "x-tra sloppy" (2 large scoops of their amazing homemade chili on top of the patties) 🤤..…you might have to eat this 😍 amazing super burger with a fork and knife lol, and it's worth it. IMO...I've tried many different burger joints throughout Lafayette, and I consider Max's to be MY #1 burger and pool joint. There's just something about the flavour of them that just make them #1, to me, IMO. There's other things on the menu besides burgers, but not too much. Go swing by there and shoot some pool while sucking down a few beers. Ask for Coy behind the bar. He's the coolest dude and worked there forever , and knows how to run that grill I tell ya. Tip: get Coy to grill your burger. He is the burger master there.

One of the best burgers I’ve had in Lafayette!! $7.30 for a burger and chips? Are you kidding me?? That’s amazing and the burger came out quick; not even 10 minutes. The tables are fast and smoothe too. If you are looking for a game or a burger then this is the place! I’m only upset at myself for just now finding this secret spot. Come check it out and thank me later!

Great local place to grab a few drinks with friends and shoot some pool or play some fooseball on some of the best tables in town. Max and his staff are friendly and always give the best service every time I'm in there. And try their cheeseburgers.... One of the best in town. P.S. add Tabasco on your chips for a true taste of Cajun flavor

Ahhh man! Let me tell ya. This has to be one of the best places to go to if you want to drink like sailors, shoot pool, foosball, or pinball, and have good food. To top it all off the wait staff is excellent. I was visiting for 3 weeks and stayed in the hotel right next to this place. I will personally say this places has provided my numerous amounts of drunken nights & closing the bar down just to walk back to my room and pass out happily. This is your typical hole-in-the-wall poolhall but everything about it provide that awesome local feel and history of such a place like Max's. This is a treasure stone to the Lafayette, Louisiana area that all should try. I truly miss this place and plan on returning whenever I get a chance. The food is amazing and the burgers are the best. The source the meat from a local provider & it's truly awesome. Highly highly recommended (some days sold out, it's that good). The music in the place is very respectable and the sound is at a perfect level. Sports will more or less be on TV as guaranteed to be watching the ragin cajun. The bathrooms could use a bit if a tune up, but really didn't matter to me as it served it purpose so I could drink more delicious alcohol. On to the wait staff. What an awesome group of barkeeps and conversations holders; always making you feel welcomed. I truly loved everyone that I meet at that place. Tons of unique people and passer-bys come through this place. It's the type of place that provide that atmosphere I think everyone eventually craves for. So, please, give Max's a try and I promise you won't be disappointed.
