Best Chicken and Sausage Gumbo ever! The rest of the plates we ordered: Crawfish Etouffee, fried chicken and fried shrimp were really good too, specially the fried shrimp. Really cheap for the quality and quantity. Good service.
Wonderful experience!! I can't say enough. I've been going since I was a kid. I love the houses and the restaurant. I wish the restaurant offered other things, more appetizers and pastries. Not everyone wants to have a meal there. We wanted coffee and something small but was not much to choose from.
I was in the middle of playing tourist in the area and I figured before I started the self guided tour here, I would have a bite to eat. I got the baked potato stuffed with crawfish ettouffe and bread pudding for dessert. The food was very good. Wait staff was very friendly.
We got there during buffet times. Was very yummy and true Cajun cuisine. Super delicious gumbo and dessert.
We just finished visiting the historic village and came here for lunch. So glad we did, it made our trip so easy. The plate lunch option was delicious and a good serving. They had a good kids menu as well. Not overpriced at all, good service and beautiful windows in the restaurant!
The service was okay. None of the workers acted as if they wanted to be there. I went on a Saturday. I did try a seafood platter with crawfish bisque. It was delicious. Their potato salad was a little sweet which I didn't like though. Atmosphere is nice.
Awesome lunch special!! Started out with delicious Gumbo, then some Awesome Chili, cornbread, & sweet corn. Topped it off with exceptional bread pudding!!
Excellent food! You get so much for the price of one plate lunch at most places! It's wonderful that you get an appetizer, main meal, drink and dessert for one price! We ordered the lunch special & were NOT disappointed! From the pork chop to the biscuit to the bread pudding... EVERYTHING was delicious!
I had they daily special of crawfish etouffee and it came with a bowl of gumbo and a bonus dessert of bread pudding! My husband had shrimp and fries. It was all excellent, seating was in a room with all windows. It was nice to look out into the village while eating.
Great Cajun cuisine in a cajun style atmosphere. Good service but a little slow.
Very good! The gumbo was outstanding. We got the plate special, very tasty smothered ribs. We heard them telling others that they ran out, so get here early if you want the special.
The food, the views, and the staff were amazing. My friend got to try multiple Cajun classics by ordering cup size servings.
Fantastic buffet on Sunday. Particularly loved the chicken, biscuits, greens, and cauliflower. For dessert their bread pudding was delightful.
Best meal we had the entire week while on the road. We are already planning a trip back and we will definitely be stopping through here again.

This place takes you to a whole time period! The food is always on point! Where else will you get a "complimentary" bowl of gumbo? And if you want another usually it's on the house! Hands down it's my Sunday go-to spot for countless years! I've brought almost 100 people there and counting!...
