Love this place. Pure and simple. Good food, pretty fast. The people are nice. No complaints, we go here for work-lunches.
The chicken quesadilla is amazing. We go there maybe once a week and always order the exact same thing. So tasty it never gets old. Service is also great with prompt refills.
Pleasant atmosphere, service was not slow. Food was served hot. My wife and felt the servings were of pleasant size and taste. We were checked on several times to see if we needed anything. The establishment seemed to be rather busy yet good service.
Service and atmosphere was great, Ordered fajitas for two, and there was more onions and peppers. Then there was meat that was very disappointing. Salsa tasted like vinegar. I don't know who made the change to this restaurant But it was not good.

El Portrillo is traditional Mexican food with a traditional atmosphere. They don't make an attempt to be trendy, and I like that. Their prices are low and easy to bring family and friends out to eat. I like that too! A longstanding Northside go-to for Mexican food.
I love this place and come pretty often with my kids. The staff members are always very friendly and welcoming, and the food has never disappointed.

Being on a detention time waiting to drop a load nearby, I found a beautiful authentic Mexican restaurant, wonderful taste, wonderful presentation, and wonderful service, will most definitely stop by any time I'm in town as recommend this fine food to all... local or visitors to town such as myself.
I’m from Texas where good Mexican food is everywhere. This place reminds me of home. Enjoyed the food and service. Recommended.
