What an adorable place!! I got there a little early this morning. The lady still took my order and said give me 15 mins. In the meantime I wandered over to the market next door which is owned by her father. He was adorable too!! I got back in my car to wait and she brought the food to my window and ran back to get my drinks. We had the gyro platter. Amazing . 100% satisfied.

Stopped in for lunch after reading reviews! This place did not disappoint, we ordered the Cuban and Greek salad. Portions were huge, the bread and seasoning were on point. We will be back for sure. Abbie’s for the win!

I can't emphasize enough that if you want a deli-style sandwich in LaBelle, you owe it to yourself to try this establishment.
Abbie's is a simple establishment in Port LaBelle that offers take out and dine-in service. There is a small bar, an equally small dining room, and what appears to be an attached dining area accessible from outside.
The deli counter dominates the interior. Boar's Head cheeses and meats, as well as fresh bakery goods like cookies and baklava are clearly displayed there.
The ambiance isn't fancy or heavy on theming, but it's plain that isn't high on the priority list. The establishment is clean and other than a couple of Middle eastern cityscape photos, the thing that sticks out the most is the array of dollar bills with greetings and well-wishes hanging all over the place.
Service was friendly and there was a heavy sort of family feel to the whole experience. While we waited for our order, we chatted with all of the staff and they made the pride they took in their products pretty clear. We were even treated to a freshly baked date cookie (a pastry filled with a date paste) as we hung around.
The food was outstanding. As deli experiences go, Publix is generally regarded as king in this area, and Subway is sort of the one you find everywhere that you go to for convenience, because you know no better, or because you have no alternative. Abbie's is a genuine "where the locals in the know eat" establishment that offers superior quality and quantity at a superior price point compared to its competition.
I had the falafel platter. It's no longer on the menu, but if you can get it, it's the best I've had. The falafel is perfectly prepared and served with loads of fresh veggies, flavorful sauce, and served on a warm gyro. If you order the platter, plenty of fries and a can of soda come along with it.
The traditional gyro that my wife ate had lots of meat, cut thicker than average for what we've generally encountered, paired with tomato, onion, and tzatziki sauce.
My mother-in-law had a foot-long roast beef sandwich that she kept fairly basic. She ate half. It was interesting watching as they seasoned the bread with olive oil and a blend of herbs.
If you want a deli sandwich here or are looking for gyro or falafel, then kick the others to the curb and seek this place out. Your tongue, tummy, and pocketbook will likely be pleased with the decision.

WENT ONCE- I WILL NEVER GO BACK!! My wife and I just moved to LaBelle and heard that Abbies Deli was the only place in town that sells Boar's Head meats. We ordered 1/4 lb. each of 4 items (ham, turkey, American and Munster Cheese- total weight ONE pound). All of these items were under $10/ lb. on the menu, so the bill should not have exceeded $10 total. I was tired and hungry and this didn't occur to me until later that afternoon that I was charged twice as much as what I ordered (the bill was $19.19). I called the deli and spoke to the woman who "helped me". She replied "sometimes it doesn't come to exactly 1/4 lb". When I pointed out that she had to have given me twice as much as I ordered based on the price I was charged, her reply was "that the price went up to $10.69 for one of the meats and that I was looking at an old menu" (which happened to be on the counter where you order). When she couldn't come up with any other lies to justify that she knowingly padded my bill to make an extra $10, she told be "I could bring the order back" and I refused to drive 40 minutes round trip to do this. We had a bad connection which she used as an excuse to hang up on me. On a side note, only one of the 4 products was cut fresh- the rest were taken from product that she had cut sometime previously. If I can't trust a business to charge me fairly, I certainly won't trust them with the quality of food I am eating.

I just recently moved into town and found this place on a whim. I've never had such a great Gyro in my life. The sauce the nice lady (I'm assuming she's the owner) puts on a he gyro is absolutely mouth watering however, I will admit the place looks a bit aged but it's relatively clean. I highly recommend going to this deli just for the gyro. I haven't had anything else but plan on trying their subs and salads.
