We loved this place! Fish & Chips were great. My wife had the Chicken Bacon Ranch wrap and said it was delicious, our friend had the Patty Melt which she commented, "best Patty Melt I ever had!" And the ice cream...delicious! Loved the atmosphere, fun place. We will definitely be back!

This place is hidden behind a mountain realtor business. The reason I mention this is because you really feel like you've found a gem when you go here. The food is good, the atmosphere is great, and the staff is welcoming. My brother in law, and my other sister's boyfriend decided to go on a fishing trip to monument lake. On our way through La Vita my brother said this place was one of the best places to eat in town. He wasn't joking. I had a Jalapeno Popper burger and was a little worried about combining two things I loved into one entree. However, the cream cheese was delicious over a good sized patty just over medium. There was plenty of extra cheese that fell out of my burger and made for a good dip for my fries, of which there were plenty. I just drank water but my fishing buddies ordered milkshakes. I was instantly envious. They looked amazing, and didn't last long so they must have been tasty as well. The other exceptional feature here is the atmosphere. Inside you'll find authentic, sturdy furniture. The single pane windows are classy and indicative of a "old time" feel you get here. Its almost like visiting a friends house more than a restaurant. If it is a beautiful day, make sure to sit out on the patio, and play at least one game of corn hole while you wait for your food. Coupled with the small town friendly staff, we almost decided to just hang out here instead of going fishing. We got a little competitive about the corn hole. In the end we left, caught plenty of fish, and went home. That was a month ago, and I still remember this place because of how much it stands out. Enjoy.

Wanted to try this cafe so I ordered a Mushroom Swiss burger. 45!minutes later, i asked to make it to go. The burger was soggy! No flavor and needed salt! Fries are air fried and soggy. My husband was happy he didn’t order anything. I was told it was a small kitchen and had phone orders before us.

Hidden gem in La Veta, good food, soft serve desserts, and excellent beer from Square Peg Brewery!

This little gem is the perfect spot to grab a bite. If you've never been to LaVeta, it's a great day trip. The cutest, original shops and great scenery all around. Tucked into the block, there's great patio dining where you can kick back and enjoy. They use a hot air fryer, so enjoy delicious sweet potato fries guilt free! Mosey across the street and check our Silvershoe jewelry and knives. Owned and operated by the artists themselves.

We went here in September for a lunch that was not only ridiculously overpriced but kind of gross too. The milk shake was so shockingly sweet and artificial. The food made me think of something I could get from a convenience store and only if I was desperate. They lack a lot of choice too. Which is sad because it is a beautiful location and restaurant but in this case looks were deceiving.

This was an awesome find on our part. The La Veta Inn referred us there and we thank them. The staff and food was wonderful. The Summer Wheat Craft Beer was my favorite along with the Beef and Bells Wrap. I don't know when we will return to CO but I will definately come back to The Bugling Bull when I am in La Veta. Great Atmosphere and food. (Beer too)

cheeseburger with no option to get lettuce, tomato or pickle? so soggy you have to eat it with a fork! had to go in search of salt and pepper. there was only one on one table (at 1:00 pm) greasy fries, paper cup for water. only five tables in all, maybe four or five outside..... so if they were any good, there would be no place to sit.
