Let's start with the beautiful color scheme. This restaurant almost has calming effect on you. Went with my family and taste tested everyone's meal. Each dish was made to perfection. Even the dishes were spot on. Not leaving much room for dessert after a wonderful meal, I had to press on and just go for it. Once again the presentation of the dessert was incredible as the plate was drizzled with chocolate and whipping cream all over my scrumptious dessert! The staff did a wonderful job with our large group. Thank you Cafe Trilogy, we will be back!
So, I had an hour to kill this morning between doctor visits. I stopped at a fellow chef's restaurant, Cafe Trilogy, owned by Chandra Zeese Michaels.
This is a cool, very small place tucked off of Highway 4/Monroe Street, in Laporte. Chandra works very hard with a smaller, unique menu offering her twists and takes on the local standard breakfast and lunch options.
This morning, I enjoyed the Cafe Trilogy skillet. It featured scrambled eggs, sausage, cheddar cheese, cherry tomatoes, spinach, along with baby red, Yukon gold and purple potatoes. It was very fresh, fantastic and filling without being greasy or too heavy, like some of the cookie cutter breakfast restaurants offer.
If you're in Laporte, or looking for a new spot to visit, check Cafe Trilogy out!
Amazing meal. The Trilogy Mac and Cheese is a jaw dropping delight. Beautifully blended and well balanced. Generous portion and excellent service by a friendly, professional waitress made the dinning experience a 5 star.
My husband and I ate here for the first time today and let me tell you it wasn’t just good it was amazing. Their eggs Benedict was great, they had Banana Fosters French toast which was also good. They make wonderful desserts..we bought 6 of their eclairs and our whole family loved them.
Excellent food and excellent service. Very yummy desserts also. We'll be back again.
They have good food and the specials are always as delicious as they are creative. I've never been disappointed except when they're closed. I believe all the desserts are made inhouse(I'm almost positive). I make sure to bring a new treat home each time I visit then usually get sent back after the kids try it and insist on seconds.
This was our first experience dining in and we will certainly be back! Both of our sandwiches were very tasty and well made. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. We even walked in 10 minutes prior to closing but they happily served us.
Had a burger and a house salad. Burger better than normal, salad rather sour but quality seemed very good. I'll be back, maybe for their Lasagna and a different salad. Price a bit high, like everywhere. Nice waitress, nice environment..
I really thought the place was larger. Parking in rear where the entrance is. Turn left and you'll get your hair done! One large table for 6. Smaller tables for 4 and 2.
Chalkboard menu. Breakfast, lunch and always at least one hearty meal. Starters are available. Excellent Pastrami sandwich with Chicken Soup today. Very nice combo. BBQ pulled pork special today. Two had that and were happy it wasn't real smokey. Someone at our table had the Spinach Salad that they raved about. Another friend was very happy with her BLT on a croissant.
Whatever you choose for dessert will be well worth the calories. Apple squares, Praline carmel bars and Carrot muffins with Cream Cheese frosting were enjoyed by our group.
The food is always great. I love their specials every week to mix it up. Their deviled egg flight and desserts are great. We really enjoy Cafe Trilogy
