Thompson's Seafood

Ordered a half bushel of #1 crabs about a week ahead of time last year. They weren't ready when I got there (when they opened), and I had to wait about 20 minutes for them. They seemed pretty disorganized. The crabs were a mix of #1s and #2s. I know the season wasn't great, but it's annoying that they'd push a half and half mix like that as #1s. All things considered, the price was reasonable for what I got, and the crabs were good (not water logged, not empty shells, not a bunch of claws). It's possible they charge more when they have full sized #1s. When they handed me the box of crabs, a good amount of liquid spilled all over the floor. Moisture is to be expected with crabs, so it's not a big deal, but it does kind of reflect their level of disorganization. I'd expect after about one week of handling seafood, that they'd have a system down to drain things in the back so that sort of thing wouldn't happen. I asked for an extra sheet of the thick brown paper that they hand out, and they weren't willing to give me one. I don't know if they sell them, but they didn't mention that they did.

I have never had as much trouble with my order from here as i did today....there are a bunch of young kids working the front now and they are clueless. While I was there they charged the wrong persons credit card....messed up my order and tried to tell me I was wrong ....when I clearly knew what I had ordered and that they messed up. Thet fixed the order and I eventually got what I wanted.
