The tortillas here were amazing! Super fresh tacos and really friendly staff! The fish taco and the veggie taco was delicious! I don’t know why you would go anywhere else for tacos in La Jolla.

Cool place and better tacos than ever! I would say best tacos in Birdrock, but I think they are the best tacos in California! Me and the girlfriend ate there the other day and were stoked with size of tacos for thr price. Not only are they a good deal but they are authentic. They offer a free salsa bar with different choices and carrots and onions. Super clean spot with plenty of local parking at no charge. I've never had a tortilla that tasted liked this and now I'm hooked. We don't live nearby, but we will be regular customers for sure.
I went for the first time to Cali Street Tacos since I was staying in the motel just a few blocks away. I went in and saw that they had a small menu which I liked. I ordered a Cheso taco with carne asada and a couple of tacos. I loved that their tacos were made with handmade tortillas. Next time I'm visiting San Diego it will be my go to place to eat. I highly recommend it.
I've had the 3 rolled tacos, al pastor and carne asada tacos, and French fries. Everything was delicious and fresh tasting, not greasy at all, and VERY affordable.
The French fries are HUGE and only $2?! Literally family size.
I'd love it if the el pastor had pineapple on it, which would add another layer of fresh flavor.
From what I've eaten here, this is a great little spot that won't leave you with a food hangover.

Great carne asada fries. Add some hot sauce, lime and pico and its perfect. Like the help yourself condiment bar.
Try the Cheso taco, it's the best! And the tacos with the handmade corn tortillas, OMG!!!
