My son and I love this place . Best surf n terff burritos 🌯 amongst other delish menu items . We dine in at least once a week , el jefe is one of the nicest and polite front end amigos . You’re in the Clairemont area. This is definitely a place to come for a great atmosphere, friendly personal and some really bomb food for a affordable price
Rating based on drive thru only. Food was delicious. Got one of each street taco. If you like authentic street tacos, this place has great flavors. Favorite was the birria. Also got the Malibu burrito. All really good. No complaints with the drive thru either. Food was brought to car after waiting a few minutes in the parking lot.
This taco shop was open late, I had the Cheeto Asada burrito and it was very good. The staff are super friendly. The restaurant is clean. The grounds of the property at the restaurant is on is also clean very well done and the food is top notch.
Excellent food, still has a nice little salsa bar available inside. The value of what you get for what you pay is still really fair. Which is more and more scarce nowadays. Definitely a new favorite spot!
Miles better than Roberto’s across the street. People are always chill and food is always good. Depends on what cook you get but 9/10 they hook you up
Get the El Grande burrito! It’s a massive 2lb double wrapped California burrito, and it will last you all day. The staff is super friendly as well!

We eat here all the time. This latest time we ordered the quesadilla and the two chicken soft taco combination plate. All extremely delicious. The staff is great and always a pleasure to interact with.
50 years of eating SoCal Mexican Food and this is one of the best. Love their breakfast burritos and food in general . Generous proportions and great value
Good service, some interesting food items (fish rolled tacos – cool!), and they're all being careful and taking all the necessary, required hygiene precautions under gubernatorial order. We hadn't been back since they changed ownership, from Cotija's to California's Taco Shop, but it was a good experience! Pictured: Carne asada nachos – very tasty.
