Su Casa is a La Jolla gem! My family has been going here since the 60's when they use to have a harp player in the bar. We have celebrated many important life moments behind those big doors I can remember always being amazed by the big Alaskan crab on the wall, the cute little model carousel and the big, colorful fishtank in the dining room. Especially playing pretend with the old ship engine control with all my cousins when we were children. Everyone who has served us over the years have always been so kind, generous and always treated us like family. They have filled our tummies with some of the best mexican food San Diego has to offer. I will miss those tasty, crispy chicken flautas and gooey jalapeños poppers! We are all so sad that they have to close their doors permanently. But we are grateful for the everlasting memories we all hold near and dear to our hearts.

The ambiance of the place is definitely great. The food is good, not exceptional, but definitely good. Prices are higher than your average place. Drinks and desserts are great, they were my favorite feature.

We loved the 'flagged' dishes, had been there during Mexico independence day.

We ate here once and went once for the happy hour, two very different experiences. On the food and staff, i would say 5 star. Very good Mexican food at reasonable prices. The nachos were delicious and left us very full. As for the happy hour, i recommend finding another spot. We arrived and were told you can only get happy hour deal if you sit at the bar (which seats about 7 people total). The "happy hour margarita" is pre-made and poured out of a drink hose. It was definitely lousy and kind of turns the whole happy hour into a sham. Bottom line, go for dinner, but not for happy hour!

This is simply one of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever been to. They consistently have served some of the most wonderful tasting, freshest, and healthiest Mexican food I've ever had anywhere. The decor is also very nice, charming, and you feel like the staff treats you like family. While it is a bit off the beaten path, it is a great detour especially if you are planning on spending some time in or near La Jolla!

This was a wonderful find. A local friend suggested visiting here and I understand why. It has a nicely authentic atmosphere and the service was fast, efficient, and friendly. We didn't want for anything. The margaritas were incredible and the food was flavorful and tasty. If you are in the area and looking for good food and a solid experience, give this place a try. You won't regret it.

I thought this place was amazing. The salmon fajitas were the best I've ever tasted and the experience of getting the guacamole made by hand tableside was worth the entire trip. Not to mention the delicious fruit blended margaritas.. I will be back.

My husband and I ate here, per a lifeguard's recommendation. It was awesome! Freshly made guac at your table - you customize the ingredients and amounts - to die for! Service was excellent and fast, yet not a hurried atmosphere. Very close to the beach, easy to find street parking and reasonable prices! Very clean as well. When we're in town again, we will definitely be visiting again - wonderful!

Good food and great decor! We sat by one of their fishbowls and enjoyed watching fish swim around while eating. We stayed across the street so we could easily stroll over. We ate outside in the lighted area one evening. Very pleasant! Keep your eyes open for bicycles! They were all over the place.

This place is so nice, the people here is very friendly and the food is great. I tried the nachos and they were full of flavor. I wish I could say 10 stars. Very happy to walk out with great food in my body. Coming back again. 😊
