Great ambience. Technically extremely well prepared food. Delicious flavor. Great wine selection and service. Love the trees inside the restaurant and the lighting. Really nice atmosphere. Ordered the filet medium. Nice outer crust and tender medium cooked on the inside. The peppercorn sauce was savory but not overpowering. The dessert was pretty amazing. The sorbet was refreshing and the strawberry tart fresh not too sweet. Great restaurant for a special occasion.

The atmosphere was so Fantastic,
the food was so delicious.
We ordered 10 dishes most of them are seafood. The seafood tower was great, never forget to order oysters.
The waiter was very patient, helpful, and friendly. Can't complain about anything.

Loved the 100+ olive trees, the vibe and atmosphere at Herringbone is perfect for dates nights, family nights or just having a fun evening with friends. Great bar and cocktail menu. Though the wine list can be more extensive, found it limiting. Oysters and lobster rolls were fantastic, a couple vegetarian optiond on the menu would help!

I rarely do we views, but I must say this restaurant definitely deserves it. I came for my birthday June 17th (1st time here) it was a great! decision. Everything was perfect the atmosphere, service, food and decor was beautiful 😍. Our waiter David was very accommodating with whatever we requested, he checked to make sure everything was to our liking. A manager (sweet women) also came to our table to see how everything was going and to make sure the food was good :).
We arrived at 8:15pm (closing time 9:30pm) David didnt make us feel like we needed to hurry with our ordering.... He was very patient and extremely helpful with questions about the menu. David will definitely be one of the reasons for us coming back :). I left there with a smile, it was beautiful evening.

This is the best seafood I’ve had in San Diego so far. The ambience here is incredible. The building itself is an old auto body shop turned into a Tuscan seaport diner. The trees inside are real preserved olive trees. The service was excellent and the food was well worth the price. Make sure you swing by the bar and talk to Joe for great conversation and menu recommendations!
For dinner we ordered the seafood tower, which was such a great sampler of all their cold seafood. For dinner I had their fish and chips, which was the best fish and chips I’ve ever had anywhere. They use a homemade batter from a local brewery (pizza port) to fry their snapper to a perfectly crunchy yet soft and flavorful breading. I also tried some of their scallops, which were amazing, and their filet, which was incredibly tender and perfectly cooked. The brandy peppercorn sauce on top was a great touch. For dessert we tried their coconut brûlée and their lemon blueberry tarte.

Wow the last time I was here was 2018 for their $1 oysters. Fast forward four years later and through a pandemic, happy to say that $1 oysters still exists!
This place gets busy so we made reservations at 4pm which is also the time that they open. We sat outdoor because I had my dog with me. Very pet friendly and there’s a heater if you’re cold.
Parking here can be tricky. They have a small lot like 8 cars if you’re lucky. Otherwise it’s street parking for 2 hours until 6pm. If you get their at 4pm then you’re pretty much set for the rest of the night. May have to circle around a few times or use the paid lot. This street is busy with other eateries such as Burger Lounge and Puesto.
Happy hour is from 4-6pm. Same with $1 oysters and it’s only west coast oysters. It was on the smaller end.
We ordered everything from their happy hour menu. I got the Caesar salad and margherita pizza. Both are tasty. The salad is enough to share 2-3 max. The pizza was a 12 inch which is the same as their dinner menu but cheaper. It taste better hot. If you let it sit, the cheese will set.
Their drinks are delicious. They seem to use jalapeños in a few items like calamari and their drinks. I got Jaleberry which is an infused tequila with strawberry jalapeño with lime and agave. It wasn’t spicy. If you want a little kick then ask for the rim to be sugary spicy. It came out perfect!

5 stars for sure! I’ve been wanting to go here for years and finally made it! Made a reso on open table for the same night. Very cool vibe inside with eclectic mix of songs playing. Definitely on the expensive side for drinks but everything we had was delicious including the aperol spritz. Recommend the petite seafood tower which had great portions of everything. Enjoyed the halibut ceviche the most. Salmon, steak and shrimp for mains all were delicious. Only 3 shrimp with that main so be prepared. Will definitely return.

The food was amazing!
A group of us decided to go here on a whim while looking for a restaurant for dinner.
The seafood was amazing, especially the seafood tower and octopus. The desserts were also amazing and the coconut crème brûlée was the best crème brûlée I’ve ever had.
The wait staff were friendly and attentive.
I’d definitely return and recommend to anyone in the area looking for a great meal!
