The Promiscuous Fork

Unplanned lunch pit stop to the Promiscuous Fork, and so glad we made it. Kind of tight indoor quarters but cool outside seating area. If you’re a garlic lover then you will love the “yuk-mouth”. Buns were buttered and toasted to perfection. Wife had the carnitas tacos which loved so much that she wanted to go back for dinner. For burgers and tacos, the Prices were a bit on the high end side, imo (i’m a out of towner so these may be “regular” Cali prices) but it was all delicious and worth it.

What a gem! We were driving by looking for a place to take the family and grab a bite to eat. We just saw it in a strip mall next to a market and though we’d try it out. Sooooo freaking good. We devoured everything before I had a chance to take a picture of it. Priscilla, the server / mgt? Helped us and even told us if we waited 7 minutes, we could take advantage of the happy hour items. Super casual, non-pretentious place with excellent food and service. We got the carnitas tacos, poke bowl, grilled Caesar, Mac & Cheese, salmon bowl, sliders and garlic parmesan fries. Would definitely be with a trip back!

I've lived in the neighborhood for 3 years and P Fork has always been my favorite place to get food from. The Burgers here are the absolute best. I love the Yuck Mouth Burger. For a side, I like to switch it up between their Coconut-Jalapeno Rice or their Garlic/Parmesan Fries. Both are amazing. The Salmon Bowl or the Pork Quesadillas are also two of my go-to's on the menu! The service is quick and consistent and the atmosphere is cozy and fun. This is such a neighborhood spot. Come just a couple times and you'll for sure see a familiar face. The girls who work here, Jo, B & Priscilla also help make it a really great atmosphere.

We do A LOT of traveling, and we love to find “hole in the wall” restaurants because we find these types of restaurants to have the best food. The Promiscuous Fork has a GREAT vibe, EXCELLENT food, and the service was very good. Our food pictured was the La Jolla Plate, Pork Belly Mac N Cheese, and the Salmon Bowl. I am allergies to coconut and cannot have Coconut Jalapeño Rice that comes in the bowl, so they accommodated me by substituting my Salmon Bowl with mixed greens instead. We would definitely go back if we travel back to this town again!!!

This little gem was right down the street from your hotel. We ate there our first night and liked it so much we had it again on our last night! The La Jolla plate is delicious. It's a simple dish but very tasty (I ordered it both times). The chicken was moist and the rice had good flavor. It comes with a macaroni salad, which was good but I loved that rice so much that the second time I skipped the macaroni and had rice. My spouse had a burger one night and chicken tacos the 2nd time. He enjoyed both. It's a small place with limited inside seating but there are tables set up outside. The staff are very friendly and your food comes out quickly. Great little spot for a quick meal (but not fast food).
