Red Salt is next level. The Loco Moco and Avocado Toast is reimagined and is very good. The portions were generous it very tasty.

Red Salt is the absolute best restaurant we have found in Kauai.
It could be that it's located inside of our favorite resort Ko'a Kea, but I would happily walk or drive to eat here as well. Reservations are recommended, but we almost always find a seat at the bar and eat sushi. The sushi at Red Salt is the best we've had on the island and maybe the best I've ever found anywhere in the world (including Japan).
They have a fun selection of cocktails to go with their wonderful menu and friendly staff. Red Salt is also a great place for breakfast to start a long day of island activities!

Dinner here was lovely.
The filet minion was to die for (I know it’s not fish but wow) it was amazing.
I do think the breakfast and lunch prices are just slightly inflated for the taste.
Overall a wonderful place. The staff is so friendly and welcoming.

Restaurant is located in Koa Kea Resort, but very easy valet entrance. Excellent service, full bar, and a menu of excellent land and sea choices. Also have a sushi menu, the Koa Kea roll was fabulous. Definitely one of the fancier places to go pn Kauai.

The best, over the top romantic dinner we had on Kauai! We had the burger and the lamb chops… to die for! Highly recommend getting the foie gras on the burger - unlike anything we’d had before! Also loved the mezcal flight and the Aleppo marg. Not a direct sunset view but the restaurant is beautiful and you still get the beach views. Can’t wait to come back here!!

UPDATE: Went again 9-11-2023. Just as good as the first time in 2021!! Wonderful cocktails very good bartenders. We had the ahi bruschetta as an appetizer. I had the Ahi Filet again, it is sublime!! Lobster risotto was large pieces of lobster with the best risotto, you could imagine. Creamy and you don't want it to end! The Cheesecake soufflé was so light and rich at the same time.
The attention to detail in every aspect; the plating of the food, the presentation, the service is very attentive. This place is worth the money a true delight. We will return again!!
2021: Fantastic service and Incredible food. My dinner the seared Ahi was probably the best i have Ever had and the risotto was heaven!! Lobster Gnocchi was fantastic. Our server was so on point!! Worth every penny!!

Price is 100% commensurate with quality. Got the ricotta starter and it was an experience. Yes: a ricotta starter. Not chèvre. Amazing smokey flavor. I got the lobster risotto and there was a whole lobster’s worth of meat in it. My wife got the burger. I felt like Vincent Vega re $5 shake at first but—like Vince—I came around. “That’s a good @&$% burger.”

Absolutely delicious! Was easily one of the best meals we’ve ever had, especially the Ahi.
Special thanks to Jo-Jo our incredible server, & to the Chef / Kitchen staff for a delicious meal. Jo-Jo knew the menu like the back of her hand, & it paid off.
Reservations needed, a little pricey, but absolutely worth it.
