3 Amigos

So this is the 4th time in a row I've ordered a steak there. Not impreased at all. The taste is like it's right on the verge of going bad. Usually tough. But the seasoning/sauce is good. My favorite is camarones a la diabla. Tacos and enchiladas are very tasty too. Update... Went again with my son. Got the Molcajete Tierra. Wow!! 😍 Very impressed! Chicken, pork, chorizo, steak all done to perfection. They definitely stepped up their game. Will keep going back. ✊

The salsa here is my favorite in town. Could I drink it on it's own? Yes. Have I lost my dignity doing this? Not yet, but it's tempting. You've gotta stop in on Taco Tuesday for a great deal! 3 Amigos regularly participates in First Friday events each month. They've also been known to have karaoke nights and Mariachi nights, be on the lookout for a lovely atmosphere if either of these are happening!

I like to give 5 star reviews and struggle when it is less than 5 stars. But, I feel I have to be honest. Waitress was super nice, but slow to return to table ...she did say it was her 3rd day. Food was just ok but tasted fine. The guacamole and salsa tasted great and had lots of flavor. Prices were reasonable but went in line with the smaller portion. Maybe I am just spoiled at my hometown Mexican grill.

New cook and the food was awful. The refried beans tasted like ground up cigarettes, the enchilada was burnt cheese with straight red sauce poured over the top, no flavor or effort. The only decent thing was the rice, which is pretty hard to screw up. When they saw I didn't eat my beans they didn't bother to ask what was wrong and when I mentioned the issue at checkout they didn't even bother to remove them from my bill. The girl at the front just giggled when I told her how bad the food was and said "yeah, we got a new cook and I don't think he knows what he's doing". We wont be back.
