Jarman's Bbq

Well, I've had Q all around this country, and Buddy's is definitely not lacking! Just a small Q-joint, but what they do, they do well! Not being from around here in Tennessee, the folks have been nothing but fantastic! I met Reese, and we talked about fishing and boats. A nice guy, at least, he was nice to me lol! The Brisket, the Ham, the Beans, the Corn, the Potato Salad, the Lemon shake, was just perfect! Of course, I don't believe in being negative in my reviews, so if I miss some locations that we stopped at, it's because I will not be badmouthing😡 anyone's business! I'll leave the badmouthing to someone else!👍 Oh, and one more thing, like I always say, clean bathrooms, clean kitchens! Dirty bathrooms, go somewhere else to eat! Their bathrooms and eating area were spotless. Do yourself a big favor and stop on in! 🥰🥩🧋🍽️

So, this is tough. I think the BBQ was 3 by Texas standards, and the sauce brought it to a 3.5. I'd round it to 4 for the low price, but the service was a slow. I wouldn't come here if you are in a hurry. The staff was nice and apologetic for the slow service. As to the specifics on the food, the hushpuppies, french fries, corn and hotdogs were great. The ribs and chicken were a bit dry and low on flavor, but the pulled pork was good. I really think the baked potatoes with meat were the way to go. Here is a picture of my plate.

My wife and I were out of town today visiting family in the Knoxville area. We have Buddy's in our hometown of Chattanooga and forgot they were also in Knoxville. We are inside and spent $30 on her and I on 2 dinners and an extra side of potatoe salad and a shake. Every bit of the food was delicious and fresh! And the cashier Mary that took our order was absolutely AMAZING! Very polite and accurate and got our order right to the t. She brought extra bush puppies to our table while we were eating and just went above and beyond to take care of us always with a polite attitude and disposition. We also placed a to go order for our family back home and again spent $25. There weren't any complaints from any of the five people that were fed. The restaurant was clean. The cashier was amazing and the food was delicious! I would recommend this place to everyone

Needed some lunch after our visit to the zoo. We ended up here because other places we tried did not have dine in available. Wasn't too excited because we assumed it wouldn't be very good BBQ since it was a chain. Ended up being very pleased with our food and the staff was very friendly. Worth a try!

Always good food at Buddy's. The staff was on top of things and very helpful with advice on what to get from the menu. We chose to go inside to get our food and I'm glad we did. It's nice to talk to friendly people who know the area... We used to live in East Knoxville and were visiting. That end of Magnolia has really changed in the past 5 years! Hardee's it's gone, several businesses have disappeared, but Buddy's is right there where it always has been! I think that says a lot about how good their good is. If you want good barbecue at a convenient location then head over to Buddy's on Magnolia... You won't be disappointed.

Usually every time I get food from here it’s great. I’m giving it 2 stars today solely based on todays to-go order. I ordered a pound of pulled chicken that was extremely dry. That was a first and pretty much not edible. I also ordered 16 wings and there were literally 15 drumsticks and only 1 wing. I always get the 16 count because my mom prefers the wings and not the drumsticks and that way she can pick out as many wings as she wants. Today she only got 1 wing. I should have taken the order back but it wasn’t worth what the gas would have cost.
