We had a lovely late lunch here. We ha e been wanting to come here for a long time. It was so good. Had egg drop soup , spring roll. He had prawns and lobster sauce and I had four meat special. The flavors are bold and tasty. Service is friendly and prompt. We will come back here again soon.

Best Chinese takeout place in Knoxville as far as I’m concerned. If you like beef and broccoli, this is the place to get it: Plum Tree’s beef is always perfect. You’ll never get weird texture or a funny taste. Well run business, friendly staff A+ Personally I like the interior - the decor is nothing fancy, but the tables are comfortable (especially the private booths) and the atmosphere is laid back.

1st of all the environment was lacking a good food experience, the restaurant seemed run down, the customer experience was horrible, the wait time was long for just 2 food orders. The food came out separately so eating with a friend or family member in a timely lunch time matter, please reconsider. I got the Curry my family member got the Mangolian beef, it was super salty, told the waitress her recommendations was to add more rice 🤷‍♀️she didn't even recommend to re-cook the order or anything for that matter just a look of "oh well" eggroll was cold inside, just a really bad experience 👎the worst, Happy Gardens standards and food are 5 🌟 in comparison.

The environment or design doesn’t giving you a happy feeling. I ordered a Malaysian food( chicken sauced turmeric, something like that) the chicken was over cooked and hard to chowing. Very small, and simple plate, few shredded onion, and dried and dark sauce. I talk to the waiter, he said they can add some fresh sauce. They changed about $18.Feel pain in my mouths.

Worse food ever and worse customer service! Be aware!! What was supposed to be general tso chicken is old and recooked chicken that taste like cardboard. When I called the place to let them know about my disappointment they refused to do anything about it and basically said “ it is what it is and they can’t make it to my satisfaction “ or at least the right way. I am definitely not going to visit or order anything from there again. There are plenty of much better Chinese food around to choose from. I regret but I learned. Be aware and check your takeout food before leaving. They don’t deserve the only star they got from me. Shame on you!!

I had the chicken curry basil lomein and it was off the chain! Spicy yes, but I have a moderately high tolerance for spicy and the spicy was just right! Girlfriend had the chicken pad thai with no peanuts and it was also incredible! Spicy as well but perfectly spicy.. perhaps the serving size for the pad thai could have been larger but honestly the size for me was just right.. filling but not too much to eat! I also recommend dining in! So quaint and atmospheric.. I feel as though take out doesn't give a great representation of the food. Our food was served to us piping hot!

Decent food, but it's absurdly expensive for no apparent reason. $15.30 for a dinner portion of Tofu with steamed rice without a drink or anything else. I can get that anywhere in the Tri Cities for $8.50 or less. Sorry not sorry, it's obviously not worth that.

all the 5 stars are confusing until you remember youre in knoxville and people here will eat any swine slop you give them. couldn't believe how high our total was for 2 chicken based entrees, 1 veggie side, 2 egg rolls and one drink. over fifty dollars for utterly mediocre food. told they were "out of fried rice" ?? you just fry the white rice in a wok with a few veggies how do you "run out" of fried rice at a chinese restaurant? skimpy pathetic food for extremely high prices. we actually feel anger at how deeply ripped off we were. we should have walked out when we were led past buckets catching leaks from the roof to our table.... im sure this place was good 10 yrs ago but it's long overdue for a mercy kill. avoid at all costs. the one star is for our waiter who was very polite. feel bad for the guy. put this place out of its misery please.
