I grew up in a household that had home-made Tex-Mex frequently. A few months back, I was in the area for a recurring business trip and stumbled across this place Googling food options nearby.
I have now been here 3 of the last 4 business trips, missing one only due to a sudden schedule change. Each time, the staff was on point with excellent service. The food came to the table fresh and piping hot. The flavor was on par with anything I've had with my family (or made myself) -- which is to say, amazing. I think it unlikely one would find better outside Mexico, Texas or Spain, especially for the money. Highly recommended. Thanks guys!
Excellent food great and service is awesome. The waiter even gave my 6 month old a teddy bear. Love this place
Very busy at lunch but we were seated immediately. Excellent chips and salsa. Ordered chicken taco salad and tried to eat every bite but got too full. Very clean and very friendly staff. I will be back!
Excellent Mexican food!
I've been searching for an authentic Mexican shrimp cocktail and found it.
I ordered rice and beans on the side incase the cocktail was not what I hoped for, and they were excellent too! They used white cheese in their dishes and not yellow cheese. ( I always get disappointed when I order Mexican food and see yellow cheese on my food. It's tex-mex to me)
Service was a bit slow but they restaurant was full when I came in. I still enjoyed every bite of my food and was even trying to eat slower to enjoy it..

Absolutely love this place! It’s one of our groups go to lunch spots on Sunday afternoons. Sometimes there’s 3-4 of us and other times there’s 13-14. They’re always accommodating and do a great job. The service is fast and friendly, the food is always hot and delicious, and the special requests always come out right the first time. If you’re looking for a great Mexican spot look no further!
Parilla's Cantina has become our restaurant of choice for December near the 25th. The food is delicious;I wrote home about this restaurant before we moved to Knoxville.

We are regulars here because the food is amazing and the staff are so awesome! We come when I don’t have the time to cook and also on date nights with the hubby. They are becoming so popular that it’s hard to get a seat on the weekends, but it’s worth the wait!
Always feel welcome here. Enjoy eating at the bar. Service is always good. Staff seems to enjoy their work and support each other. Owner checks in with you as well. Our "go to" place for mexican.
Our favorite Mexican restaurant in west Knoxville. Probably other good ones but we've never had a bad meal. Food, drink, service, cleanliness always top shelf.
