Really fresh tasting/quality food. I have loved this place for years. Food is ALWAYS prompt and tastes - looks - smells like it should NOT be ready as quickly as it is(the wait time is akin to waiting at a well-ran fast food chain restaurant, just with a much better reward for waiting).This place is legendary. One of the best values on the planet. Don't sleep.
Fast. The one thing you can always count on at Fuji is the food coming out fast. Always served by a smiling waitress who may not have the best English , but tries real hard to make sure you're happy when you leave .So many regulars eat here they sometimes are following to the table with what you usually drink before you get to sit down .One of my favorites , usually there at least once a week .
Don't let it's lackluster exterior apperance sway you for experiencing a great plate of awesome, hugh portioned, tasty sauces Americanized Japanese food.
Fuji Is Fantastic!. I have taken my family to Fuji consistently since we have lived in Knoxville. We pretty much eat there once a week. I may not have ever tried it had I not lived so close, but I am glad I did.
We all order the Vegetable plate. They are very generous with the portion size! And the food is always consistent. It is always hot and fresh and the veggies are cooked to perfection. I have dinned at some other Japanese places and the veggies are not as tender. Also, I love the sweet carrots!
Anywho, if you haven't tried this place, what are you waiting for? This place is my favorite place to eat in the area!
If you need lunch in a hurry, you will get your food fast here! Good luck getting that at some of the other well known Japanese places (like Wasabi)!

Delicious!. More food than I can eat and enough food for my husband (who eats a lot) to leave feeling very full. The food is flavorful, the vegetables tender, and the meats not at all overcooked. Doesn't look like much from outside, but who cares... best value in Japanese food you can find.
Best Value for Japanese Food. When I want Japanese food, Fuji is the first place I think of. Very clean place, very efficient service and excellent food and plenty of it. Definitely a 'Best Value' in dining.
Mmmm.... Fuji...... Wow, if you ever mention Fuji's to someone who has eaten there, you invariably get the same response.... Mmmmm..... Fuji..... This place has simply incredible food. It may not be the prettiest building in West Knoxville, and sometimes the servers may be a little slow to refill a drink, but I don't see how anyone could ever knock their Hibachi. From the bottom layer of perfectly fried rice, all the way to the top layer of those delectable sweet carrots..... you have got to try this place. The prices are wonderful too.... a great way to enjoy a fantastic meal and stay well within your budget.
Mmm....Fuji..... Every time I go to a sit-down Japanese style restaurant where they do a show at the hibachi grill at the table (Wasabi, etc.), I find myself wishing the food was as good as Fuji's, and then get depressed when the bill comes.
You just can't beat Fuji's price, taste, quality of food, or speed of delivery at any other Japanese restaurant in Knoxville. And I might just be addicted to their teriyaki sauce and sweet carrots.
Awesome!. We were hesitant to try this place but decided to go anyway since a friend of mine told me it was really good. Boy, was she right! It is not fancy - just a converted old Dairy Queen but they have great hibachi style chicken without having to sit through the boring "show" and a bunch of strangers like you have to at a fancy place. Very reasonably prices, fast, friendly service. I wish I lived closer. No, I don't I would go there all the time and break my diet!
This place is my favorite!! If I ever get the option to have Fuji, you best believe I'm doing it! The teriyaki chicken is amazing and it comes with enough for at least two meals. The owner is always so upbeat and kind too.

The food was fresh and fast. Quantity was pretty decent compared to the price, which I think is a little high. Service was good, the server was friendly. I ordered the chicken and shrimp combo, the chicken was a little too dry for me. Also, in my opinion, the sweet carrot doesn’t go with it. If you are looking around for a Japanese restaurant, look up Mikata Japanese Grill on Hardin Valley. They have almost the same menu but better quantity and price.
Absolutely love this place. Best hibachi around if you ask me. Been going here since I was a kid. Would highly recommend it!!!
Great healthy fast food option! Literally could put the shrimp sauce on everything!
Fuji is my ABSOLUTE favorite restaurant. The portions here are incredible, and the food is just so comforting to eat. I've been coming here for years! The shrimp sauce is wonderful as well. The service here is great- the food comes out two seconds after you order it, and the servers are very kind and accommodating. I love it here! I recommend the steak and shrimp with tons of shrimp sauce!
