Great food and service. Visit when in Knoxville. We eat at a lot of different Korean restaurants around the country and this one stands out. It also has a very laid back atmosphere and good spacing.
Stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I have never had Korean food and it was great. Service was very friendly. Will definitely be back.
Have only been once, but the food was fantastic. I had the Seafood and vegetables and the Kimchi pancake. Will definitely come back again!
It was my first time here and I loved the food and atmosphere. We got the Bugolgi and the Seafood Soup(can’t remember what it was called) and It was better than I expected. Next time I come back I need to try their Korean BBQ!
Great Food | Great Ambience | Homely Vibe
Visited this place on a Friday night for dinner. Ordered Dolsot Bibimbob, Vegetarian Dolsot Bibimbob and Kids Beef Bulgogi. The food came with a flurry of Korean sides including Kimchi, pickled cucumbers and pickled radishes. The food tasted great! The place has a nice Korean ambience.
Great food and service! We've always had an awesome experience going here. As someone who lived in Korea for a while, I think the food really hits the spot (though I'm sad they don't serve kimbap any longer).
Most recently, we had a great service experience where my co-worker didn't get the beer he'd ordered. They took it off his bill but offered to still get it for him if he wanted, on them—truly exceptional service!
I highly recommend.
DISH RECOMMENDATIONS:
If you aren't familiar with Korean cuisine (or if your only exposure is Korean BBQ), then here are my suggestions.
1) Bibimbap is a standard go-to dish. It IS Korean food, in the same way you might suggestion Tikka Masala or Butter Chicken at an Indian Restaurant. Lots of veggies, rice, and meat with an egg on top.
Get the "Dolsot Bibimbap" if you want it extra warm. This comes in a hot stone bowl (make sure to mix it until it stops sizzling!)
2) Bulgogi is for the people who aren't into veggies or don't want a lot of rice. It comes with a side of rice, still, and you can also get it "over rice." Delicious marinated meat.
3) Seafood, veggie, or kimchi pancakes. All great. The seafood includes shrimp and squid, so if you aren't into that opt for veggie.
4) If you want spicy foods, try the tteokbeokki on the side.
Really great experience. This is definitely a locally owned and operated restaurant and all of the sides are made from scratch. Kimchi ain't nothing to play with *chefs kiss*. We got the bulgogi beef and chicken and it was impeccable. Really lovely flavors, sides, and ladies running the show. I would definitely recommend but be aware that there is limited grill seating.
