Review Savelli's Italian Restaurant - Knoxville

Great Italian restaurant! Best to make reservations!!!!! Had the Mama Savellis chicken, great wine sauce, great flavor! The sampler with a great homemade marinara sauce. Basket of garlic bread. And the lemon Italian cream cake 😱, so good!! The sweet tea has fresh mint added to it, the best tea! We would definitely come back!

Sometimes in life you find yourself in a small local restaurant and you get blown away. Tonight was one of those moments for me. I was invited to a dinner with friends at Savellis. I read the other reviews and was skeptical. I was going to go 4 stars at first but then we got desert. So first off, the service was phenomenal. The food was incredible and the desert was off the charts delicious. All around fantastic experience. My only issue was the parking. However, this is not the restaurants fault. They are in a growing area and land locked by businesses. I eventually found a spot street side and it was acceptable. This is an upper scale (price wise) location but the atmosphere and food is worth it. Highly recommended.

I don't understand why other people that have left reviews like they're Gordon Ramsay or something special but EVERYTHING we had was Amazing! I had a greek salad & Mama Savelli's chicken with artichokes and sundried tomatoes with white wine sauce. My party shared a bruschetta and the taste of Italy. Everyone enjoyed everything tremendously. Will definitely be back again.

I’m not one to leave reviews but this place was too good not to. My partner and I stopped in after a business trip. I had heard of the place before from a friend and was so excited to finally get to try it. For starters the atmosphere was great. I enjoyed the privacy our table had as well. My partner got the Chicken Piccata and I got the Shrimp Pasta with Crab and Alfredo Sauce. Both dishes were phenomenal. The garlic bread came with small pieces of garlic and was delicious as well. The only complaint I have is our waitress wasn’t overly attentive especially considering only us and another man were there at the time but overall she was very kind. I definitely will be returning here!!

To say this restaurant was disgusting is an understatement. I went in and sat for about 20 minutes. I ordered the Alfredo which I could make better from a jar. The sauce was watery and curdled at that. The “garlic bread” was toasted and covered in butter and chunks of garlic. I left after staring at the plate they handed me for about 5 minutes. I was like seriously this is what you are giving me for 14 dollars. The server then came out and said oh you’re just leaving. I responded with yeah it was pretty bad. Please if you’re a person with any sense in food, DO NOT even try to eat at this restaurant

I advise prospective diners to steer clear of this restaurant if you want any kind of customer service or decency. This restaurant is horribly run, and borders on fraudulent. Every course I ordered was bad, and the restaurant is cramped and disorderly. 1. We waited for 15 minutes to be seated at a table (which we had a reservation for), while looking at multiple empty tables. 2. We were then put at a table which was pushed against the front door of the restaurant, so everyone who walked in bumped our table or even leaned against it. No one cared about tables being bumped or candles being knocked over. The inside of this restaurant is disorderly and cramped. There is absolutely no respect for the restaurant patrons. 3. I ordered calamari, and was served frozen fish sticks. They were awful, and more importantly, not calamari! 4. I ordered cheesecake, and was served extremely old, dried out, hard "cake" that was barely edible. This was also awful, but at least was a cheesecake at some time in the past. 5. The menu hid all the prices, and the waitress did not give any of them when describing the "specials." I was charged over $40 for one dish which should have been about half as much based on their online menu. Beware the secret prices and extra charges on your bill! This was the worst restaurant experience I have had in the last five years. This place is on its way down. Even Olive Garden is better than this place. Go somewhere else!

The food is always amazing! Make sure to have a reservation. I had the Grouper Piccata, hubby had Lasagna and throughly enjoyed. Daughter had chicken Alfredo. The garlic bread is top notch with small chunks of garlic.

The best Italian I have ever had was totally awesome and Becky was one of the greats thank you. We almost did not come because of the reviews I am so glad we did

It was pretty good, being Brooklyn Italian I'm pretty skeptical when I see a place that says Brooklyn born. I had the sampler, tomato sauce was pretty good, meatball was good, ziti pasta was way over cooked, eggplant parm was mediocre, lasagna was pretty good. My wife had chicken Alfredo, sauce was good, chicken was good, pasta way over cooked. Prices are a little high considering the dinners don't come with salads or any type of bread. Service was good, place is a little cramped but cozy. Definitely the best Italian we've found since moving to Knoxville a year and a half ago.

Savelli’s has incredible service and food. I just celebrated my birthday there and they made it special. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

We visited Savelli’s for the first time at the recommendation of our AirBnb hostess. Overall we were not particularly impressed. The food was decent enough...my husbands had a nice long hair in it which we requested to have replaced. They did replace the food but no offer to discount or comp it. It is bring your own wine which is nice, however the $3 per person corkage fee I though was a little much! My salad had brown lettuce in it which is one of those things that is totally avoidable! We probably won’t be back but for Italian it wasn’t bad. We did enjoy the atmosphere!

Great gem in Knoxville and the owner is from Brooklyn. Sauce was good just like back home in NY. I’ll be back in August when we drop Ty to University of Tennessee.

We were there last night and everything was outstanding as always. I had the chicken Marcella and my wife had the salmon floretine, the lobster and crab bisque was outstanding. We love how the whole staff and owner work together to make sure service is top notch.

Great food and excellent prices. Just wish I’d known the salad cost extra haha thought it can with the meal. But my chicken Marsala was outstanding and I love my chocolate chip cannoli. Great atmosphere.

Can't believe I've lived my whole life in Knoxville and just now discovering this hidden gem. Absolutely the BEST Italian food I've ever tasted,mouth watering goodness. It won't be my my last time dining here ! But, do make reservations, it gets pretty crowded on Fri and Sat nights

The whole experience was great! It’s been about 15 yrs since we’ve been there but it won’t be that long again. The restaurant was quaint, the service was fantastic & the food was amazing! LOVE the sheer curtains between sections. Makes it more private and romantic.

The whole experience was complete, great time, food was good and plentiful, wait staff excellent, prices good! A great evening with family and friends
