Ordered food around 3:30 with the delivery saying it’d be here around 4:10. No problem! Well 4:10 rolls around and my order just keeps getting pushed back later and later. I messaged them on their website asking if I could just cancel considering the time for delivery was now at 5:10 so at this point I might as well drive and pick it up myself. Was told the food was just coming out the oven in a moment (at 4:25) and that my driver would be here in 20. No problem since the food wouldn’t be cold. Well the food was actually done at 4:07 (according to the sticker) and my driver didn’t show up until around 4:57. Food ended up being freezing cold, where as my smoothie was completely melted! Thought I’d give a local delivery place a try instead of door dash but now I’m wishing I just used door dash instead. Delivery price was much cheaper on door dash as well as service charge, no forced tip (I leave a tip but in this case I would’ve liked to not have done that due to poor service) and food would’ve been here about an hour earlier. Very disappointing.

I used takeoutguys for the first time recently. According to TOG, Portsmouth Flatbread offers Riverside Farms Donuts (note the plural) for $5.75. Unfortunately, this is not an item on Flatbread's menu (dated 6/7/2021). They do however offer a Riverside Farm Cider Donut Sundae. Instead of some donuts I recieved a donut sundae without ice cream and maple infused whipped cream. That's right, I got a single donut in a pint sized container. With tax and tip, I paid over $7 for a donut that was just ok. I emailed Elizabeth at TOG the next day. Mistakes happen. I get that. So I asked her to make it right. She never responded (I waited one week before posting this. ). There are some other issues too. When I placed the order the confirmation indicated that it would be delivered in between 1 hour 20 to 1 hour 50. That's crazy for a Tuesday night this sounded crazy so I called Flatbread to cancel and order a take out but I was too late. It was delivered in roughly 1 hour 15. That's ok for a Saturday night but a bit surprising mid-week. In addition, they require a minimum tip of 20%. It is automatically added to the check. I have no problem tipping and I tip well. But I resent being told that it is mandatory and automatic. That's not a tip, it's a fee. Finally, their website says that the prices are set by the restaurants. False. They sometimes add a buck to an item. Go check it out yourself. I won't be using TOG again. There is simply no need. Uber, Doordash, Toast, and GrubHub go to most of the same places, and dozens more. We've haven't had a problem yet and I've never felt as though I got conned out of a few bucks.

I wish I could post a positive review, but our experience was appalling. We ordered for delivery at 12:45, the earliest available for the place we wanted. I received a call at 12:20 stating that the driver was on his way, but it might be closer to 1pm. This was no problem, so we told them so. At 1:10, I reached back out to person who had contacted me, who told me someone was picking up our food then. This is now almost an hour after I was told someone was on the way. The driver finally arrived at 1:45 with a bag of cold food. If you've never had cold fries soaked in congealed gravy, lucky you. So we feel this is a very unreliable delivery service unless you like cold food whenever it's convenient for them to show up with it. Sorry.
