Jack Brown's Beer & Burger Joint

My first impression of this place when I walked in was this is my kind of place. If you haven't read all the other reviews by now and don't know, their hamburgers are delicious and not your ordinary bar food burger. My wife and I tried different ones and the Cobra Kia jalapeños one is surprisingly very good! Not crazy spicy hot. Definitely recommended stopping by. But be warned parking fills up quick and we weren't even there during season. I can imagine this place is pretty popular amongst the locals and gets pretty busy.

The hamburgers were very good better than most restaurant burgers. I just wish they had a few more menu choices. I really, really like the special sauce offered for burgers or French fries dip. It's like big Mac sauce only fresher. The fries were also good. I got sweet potato & my husband got regular fries. Both were good. Atmosphere was just meh. Corner bar vibe. Otherwise, good burgers.

What a great neighborhood feel bar. The only reason for the 4 rating for food has to do with the size of the burger and the cost, plus the fact that fries...are Ala cart. The burger was delicious, but on the smaller side. The beer menu is massive, the music is great and the service was exceptional. The tots are yummy.

I saw the reviews that said Best Burger so we decided to give it a go as we love burgers. We walk in and okay we were outside of our comfort zone as we normally don't go to bars. But this place had me intrigued. Rock n Roll (from our time might I add) & Pink Floyd music playing loud, dollar bills all over the walls, the decorations and the lights over the tables and yes I noticed how those were done. So Cool! The bathroom was cleaner than I expected thankfully. We were seated quickly and I just couldn't stop looking around. We were reading the bills on the walls beside us and laughing. We ordered the Dr. Gonzo & the Classic Jack that was cooked to perfection with crinkle fries. Our waiter brought us a bottle of the special sauce. I kind of thought I would miss having the toppings on my burger until I used the sauce on it and the fries. Nope no toppings needed! I agree The BEST Burger ever! I wanted a bigger burger it was so great. Our waiter was nice and helpful at first. But near the end he kind of just disappeared on us. It really wasn't that busy in there. If it wasn't for our waiter pulling a disappearing act on us at the end and not bringing our money back after my husband told him that he wanted his change back I would have given a rating of 5! It took a long while for him to bring us the bill, then to come back to get our money ( as we saw him talking to others) not to mention making sure that people who arrived after we did got to eat and leave before us was kind of not right. But to just not bring change back? We gave up and walked out with him getting a larger tip than he deserved! So after having a really great burger and fries not to mention the amazing sauce that I really wanted to take with me by the way! It would have been a nicer experience had it ended better.

If you've been to Capt Tony's in Key West, you'll vibe right into the atmosphere here. The burger I had yesterday, The Cowboy, was fantastic. They have a small selection of taps to go with chain and local bottles and cans, so you'll find something to enjoy. And the service was excellent. I'll add names tomorrow but everyone was friendly. I real welcoming place.
