Pigman's Bar-b-que

We typically hit Pigman’s on our very first day when we travel to the OBX. I’m not sure how/when it became our tradition, but it just happened. It’s a super fun way to kick off our vacation. The food is great, the prices are reasonable, the employees are always friendly, and the atmosphere is exactly what you’d expect, i.e. the udder sauce dispensers. :) We don’t like ultra fancy restaurants. We like the places where everyone feels like family. This is what you get at Pigman’s. Thanks to everyone there. You make the start of our trips the best!

Our first time trying this establishment, we ordered Pork Bbq and Cole slaw, we took it back to our place and I cooked some vegetable sides to go with our meal. We enjoyed the BBQ, and loved the choice of sauces and the little piggy filling station they had to pick and choose your own sauces, we tried them all, and they were great! The staff was very friendly and accommodating especially considering we were ordering take out! The restaurant was clean, the food was good, the prices were reasonable, we'll definitely visit again when we're in the area.

I had never been to this restaurant. My hubby and I decided to give them a whirl. They did not disappoint. Large restaurant with many options. No table service, but the woman at the counter explained their menu, made suggestions and was very informative about their food and history. We ordered a BBQ dinner plate with two sides. Great dinner! BBQ was very good, not dry, and our sides were yummy. Building was very clean and well taken care of.

This place is awesome! Just the cutest little mom & pop BBQ place. We ordered a whole slab of ribs and bbq sandwich, plus sides. Tried all the sauces at the sauce station which is a fun experience as you squeeze the “udders” to get your different sauces. Food was ready quicker than fast food places. Meat fell off the bones. BBQ pork practically melts in your mouth. The people that work there are super friendly. Prices are unbeatable

The restaurant is small and cute. The staff was very nice. I was underwhelmed by the food personally but the other 7 people I was with seemed to really like it. The pork and the beef platters were just shredded/pulled which I’m not a big fan of and the hush puppies and coleslaw weren’t that great. The Mac and cheese and collards were pretty good.

I had the pleasure of dining at Pigman's BBQ in the Outer Banks for lunch yesterday, and it was an exceptional experience. Their pork BBQ sandwich was the highlight of my meal, with tender and flavorful pork, complemented by a delectable array of sides and delicious sauces. What truly made my visit memorable was the outstanding service provided by Melva and Lisa. They took my order with a smile, and their attentive and friendly demeanor added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. Their exceptional service made me return for lunch, and I highly recommend Pigman's BBQ to anyone seeking a mouthwatering BBQ experience in the Outer Banks. It's a must-visit spot!

Our family was on our last night and we didn’t get out for dinner until late. After trying several restaurants who were extremely rude we ended up at Pigman’s BBQ. Not having any idea what we wanted the cashier offered us menus and told I to take a seat and so we could decide. We placed our order and we were served very quickly. The food was exceptional. Great flavored NC BBQ! The multiple sauces in their ingenious sauce dispenser were quite tasty. We got containers for leftovers and the server notice we needed a bag and came over to help bag stuff up. Overall I was extremely impressed with the food and friendly service. We will definitely be going back.

Love love love Pigmans!!! Go to the outerbanks every year and for the last 4 or so have been coming to pigmans. The food? Outstanding The portion sizes? Bigger than you can imagine The price? Beyond fair The staff seems to really care about the product. And its a very clean place! You will leave saying just 4 words: "So good, so full"

We came here for dinner as a group on a Friday night and weren't disappointed. This joint doesn't seem to attract many tourists, the place seemed filled with locals which was pretty cool. All of us got pork BBQ - it was OK but not the best, it tasted a bit on the dry side. We liked the cornbread although it came cold, not hot. The prices were totally reasonable. There were plenty of places available to sit. They don't have traditional table service - you put your order in at the counter and they bring it out to you when it's ready. This was a nice place for a simple, casual dinner.
