Located at the Clubhouse for the world famous Ocean Course at Kiawah Island. We sat outside and had outstanding views of the golf course , the putting green and the ocean. I got a Waldorf chicken salad on croissant and it was very good.

My wife and I enjoy biking on Kiawah. Usually park at Beachwalker park and bike the 9 miles to the Ocean Course. We often stop for lunch at the Ryder Cup bar. You simply cannot beat the view. We have found the service impeccable and the food spot on. Surprisingly the prices are not bank busters. Really no better way to spend a day . You don’t have to be a golfer or member to dine here. Open to the public. Beautiful outdoor seating and somewhat limited indoor seating. No reservations, first come first served
Such a great vibe with breathtaking views. It’s the perfect lunch/brunch spot. The staff is always super knowledgeable and attentive. It’s a bit more bar food-like but it fits perfect into the vibe. Shrimp appetizer is great. Waldorf chicken salad is my favorite. Cocktails are amazing (the gator bite is a must try). Best to sit outside if there is availability.
Lovely spot to have a cocktail and a light bite out on the porch overlooking the 18th green of the Ocean Course. Even though it was quite busy, our server Dominique, followed up with us regularly and provided some recommendations. While we did not have a full meal, many groups around us were eating a full dinner. The bar is suitable for singles, couples or families. While none of the cocktails were noteworthy, the Crispy Shrimp appetizer is a MUST order.
What a great place for lunch and/or cocktails. The view and the grounds are simply stunning at this iconic golf course. We were told the Ryder Cup bar at the Ocean Course Clubhouse was a must do for lunch. That advice is spot on! We sat on the porch and had a very relaxing and tasty lunch...and enjoyed every minute. The food - crispy shrimp and fish tacos- was very good and perfect sized for lunch. We also two glasses of wine, and while a little pricey the pours were good so no issues. The service was great from the moment we walked in the front door. The hostess was super friendly and welcomed us as if we were regulars, as was the service from our waitress. AAll in all a great day at the Ryder Cup bar for lunch. We can’t wait to go back already!
We always enjoy our visits. Warm hospitality and good food. We had fish tacos, salad with salmon, the B.E.L.T -egg salad BLT -nd the Kentucky Hot Brown - all recommended. Oh and Onion Rings - delicious. Kids hot dog was a hit. Good cocktails too.
View is wonderful and playing with kids on the green so fun.
It was windy and the staff happily moved us to a protected porch table when it became free. Make a visit. It does not disappoint.
Came here to gab and drink and watch the sunset. We luckily got a spot at the bar as the entire place was super crowded due to everyone else having the same idea of watching the sunset and grabbing a cocktail. The service was still quick and you couldn’t beat the views with the ocean, the golf course and the sunset! Might be my favorite spot on the island!
It was a very special 55th birthday and an impromptu dinner on the island. We were visiting Charleston and wanted to find a place that was beautiful to dine. Google searched and found the Ocean Room. So we drove a long ride, to get there and find out we needed to have made reservations. Well they had this as an alternative and since we had already driven like an hour, we stayed. The staff treated us with respect which I was told was rare being that we are African American. We didn't get what we came for but it was great food nonetheless and a very special attendant but I forgot his name.
We love bringing friends to this restaurant. Always good food and great views! It’s perfect to time it right and watch the sun go down. If you have to the wait the drinks at the bar are always wonderful. It’s the perfect place to walk around while you wait for a table.
Such a beautiful view and great atmosphere! The food and drinks were great and the service was impeccable. I had the fish tacos and they were delicious! My wife had the Lowcountry Grilled Cheese and onion rings and said they were great. Loved the pics inside and the Dye hallway photos. We had the fish tacos and they were great!
