Bighorn Bistro & Bar

Went here for my New Year’s Eve meal with my family while on vacation. I understand they are extremely understaffed due to covid, but this poor service is no excuse. We did not see our waitress for 20 minutes after being seated. We were out of water twice. The food was cooked incorrectly for 4/7 people. They were out of the 3 of the wines we attempted to order, each time causing us to wait 15 minutes each. They did not bring us numerous things that were requested, such as salad dressing. I would never pay $40 for a chewy, over cooked steak again. The check was incorrect as well. Paying these insane prices are not worth it for the food nor the service.

Lovely place to hang and maybe grab a drink, but very limited dinner menu. Two restaurants with basically one kitchen and you can’t order food from the other one? Weird. Tomato soup tasted like canned tomatoes warmed up. Not great. Easy place to get to if you’re staying at Keystone Lodge & Spa but don’t make a special trip.

Our server was friendly, service was fast because we were the only ones in there. Now I know why, the food was meh. We ordered spinach dip and there were about five good chips the rest were crumbs. The bass tasted like pond water covered in lawn trimmings. Pork chop was average, plantains were ok, mac and cheese was actually good. For how much we paid we were expecting amazing food. Amazing it was not. Simply put, overpriced, low quality food. Save your money.

I would have given a 5 star but it took a long time for the food to come out. The food was very good. My son who is 18 talked about it the remaining of the trip. I would have liked to sit next to the window but it was a $10 charge. We ended up in a banquet room with no views. The server was very nice and apologized for the time it took to receive our food. I will try it again when I’m in the area to give it a second chance.

We come each year to Big Horn as part of your Keystone experience. We will not be back. The best part of the experience was the nice hostess. Waitress come to the table 2 times - to take order and put check on the table. The steak my husband ordered was over cooked. The significant menu changes were also disappointing. Spend your money elsewhere.

I’m only giving two stars out of pity for how nice the server was. She had to apologize for the kitchen numerous times. They cooked the food wrong, they were delayed. We were seated for over 1hour before we saw our appetizers. We ended up asking them to pack our mains instead of bringing them out and took them to go. I would not return here. The quality of the food was atrocious.

I’m a homeowner and had the worst experience at our own restaurant. The menu has been changed and we didn’t care for it. We can usually order something off of the dining room menu which is no longer allowed. Outside of a salad there was nothing healthy on the menu. The burgers were over cooked and the kitchen said they were out of some basics including Mayo. The server visited the table only to take the order and bring the check as stated in an earlier post. We were never offered refills on our drinks. The bartender served a Martini extra dirty when the request was straight up. When we asked for a new drink the bartender replied” well I can show you how the order was entered, it says extra dirty”. Overall just poor customer service. Hope the get their act together for our next trip up.
