Frenchies is too authentic to be labeled a “hidden gem.” The cute cafe is an actual hidden restaurant serving delicious (and beautiful) French food and pastries. It was my favorite brunch on the island. The house-turned-restaurant is a little quirky, but isn't everything in Key West?

C'est Magnifique!!!. We stumbled upon this tiny French bakery mid morning on our walk up Duval Street. Decided to have the egg, ham, cheese on a ccroissant and a cafe au lait. I wasn't expecting much, as I have had many a breakfast sandwich. ;) This was incredible. They are true French bakers, who know how to make French pastries! We stayed in Key West 5 days, and ate breakfast there 4 of the days. It is outstanding. The almond croissant comes heated and stuffed with an almond paste filling that is out of this world! They have a small patio in back which has 6 tables, or you can sit on the front porch and watch the world go by.
The staff is incredibly friendly, and attentive. On our last day, we ordered lunch to take on the plane back north. They had it ready at 3:00 (closing time). I never had such a good meal on a USAir flight!
Wondering around Key West on our way to Duval street last night, Katie and I walked passed this little French cafe. The Menu looked interesting for breakfast so we promised ourselves that we would come back the next day for breakfast.
I am so sad we came here on the last day of our trip in Key West because it was absolutely incredible! So funny because we were staying right next door too, this will definitely be our breakfast spot next key west trip. Delicious fresh food, cute small atmosphere and amazing staff! We even sat at the bar right where the chef was cooking and got to talk with him a little bit and thanked him for our delicious breakfast! 10/10 recommend😍 Breakfast sandwich was delicious and my iced coffee was great!!
Swung by here for breakfast on my way to the airport. This is a real french bistro. Everyone was so nice and was quite the local hang out. I was greeted by this sweet chunk when I came in and everyone knew him. The avocado toast was great and I had a chocolate croissant and iced latte. I felt very comfortable there. Great menu and the pastries looked amazing. They also had milk alternatives for your beverages as well. I do wished there had been at least one more outdoor table.
Paris vibes in Key West! My travel companions were craving cafe au lattes and croissants to start our day and Frenchie's did not disappoint. Despite the rainy weather, our morning was brightened with a spot on the covered porch to enjoy our breakfast and opportunities to engage with fellow patrons on their way into the bistro. We started with a round of coffee and mimosas and shared a slice of vegetable quiche with a side of fruit. Highly recommend the breakfast sandwich on the housemade croissant! Their omelets are fluffy and generous. Don't forget a sweet pastry to round out your meal! The strawberry and cream cheese danish is one to remember. The staff is friendly and attentive and made sure that everything was to our liking. Would absolutely recommend this spot to others. 10/10!
Frenchie's serves the most delicious French Toast. This small, wonderful, hidden gem is easy to overlook on a side-street looking like a house. It is part cafe, part bakery, part heaven. The French Toast is to die for, made from croissant. We found this gem on our second morning in Key West and went there every morning. Didn't have a bad breakfast. The staff was wonderful, especially, Gaston, the sweet dog roaming around checking on every.
Great cafe. The food is really good. Everything tasted great and was really fresh. We had a lot of pastries and all of them were really good. The macaroons are great. The filling is soft and smooth. The cake isn’t to sweet or overly sugary. Really friendly staff. Would eat here again.
I’m sad we came to this place near the end of our trip because I would have come everyday to try everything on the menu. The cafe is small, but with plenty of seating indoors and outdoors and the people are so kind and friendly. The food is some of the best breakfast I’ve had along with their incredible French pastries. The almond croissant was absolute perfection!
Excellent. Look forward to going back on our next trip. French toast is a must!

Food is magnifique! Huge portions!!! The best Croque Monsier i ever ate! The staff is very attentive and they’re pets friendly. Prices are good. A very cozy cafe that i would recommend :)
The best French Toast we've ever had. The Deluxe Panini on homemade bread was incredible. Not too much yet just enough. Get the Large Mimosa too. The Americano coffee ☕️ was like an light espresso. Very good. The owner spoke to us for quite a while as did his friend. It's a very nice story of how he has made it here. And don't forget to pet dog.
Definitely going back! Been to KW numerous times and came across this hidden gem....wish I knew about it sooner! The coffee was fresh & strong, the food was cooked perfectly and the staff is very friendly.
