In September, my girlfriend and I spent a week in Key West, and were very happy to find this awesome shop, which we visited for coffee and breakfast probably 5 times during the week. She used to manage a coffee shop, so we're very picky about our coffee (fresh roasted/burr ground beans every day, water to temp, aeropress, etc.). This place knocked it out of the park, every single time. I ordered an iced red-eye with soy milk every day (which the gentleman behind the counter remembered by the end of the week) and it was always delicious, strong, and never bitter. The pastries were amazing! I tried a couple of the varieties of danishes and croissants (the almond croissants were my favorite), I only regret not bringing a bunch home with me. The breakfast sandwiches on the fresh-baked brioche were perfect, they were somehow buttery, eggy, and bacony, without making me feel like a puddle of grease in the oppressive heat. I had lunch there once too, and the roast beef sandwich was stacked a mile high.
I had an awesome time in Key West, and I give credit to Old Town Bakery for helping me get off to a good start every morning. I only wish I could give more than 5 stars, truly outstanding.
We were staying at a nearby resort, that has excellent food. A friend who was staying there said he had lunch from here and we should try it. We tried it and have to say it was amazing. Had the French dip and the special brownie with the gnosh inside. It was the best I’ve had in ages. We he prices are great and the guy behind the counter was pretty friendly. I’ll definately go again.
Key Lime Pie
Guided by the reviews, we stopped by this bakery to try their version of the Key Lime Pie. This one has a gingersnap crust which is a great contrast to the tart, sweet Key Lime Pie filling and the coffee was pretty good too. The prices at this bakery are very reasonable and the other bakery items looked really good too!!
Great staff and very fresh pastries. Coffee is also excellent! Appreciated that the desserts are not over sweet- flavors are there, not just sugar.
Great place for a cookie or pastry after a sandwich at Bien across the street. Great breads and cheeses. Was amazed to see Cowgirl triple cream Brie all the way down here
My husband and I stopped by here on the way back to the hotel and I am so thankful we found this little gem. The staff was very helpful, and the prices are reasonable. We bought a chocolate chip cookie, oatmeal raisin cookie, raspberry cheese Danish, and a sticky bun. They were all amazing and very fresh! I would recommend this place to everyone!
Nothing like fresh pastries in the morning. Great little place, tucked away off the beaten path. Great friendly service. A must stop while in Key West.
Great sandwiches. We went back for made to order Turkey sandwiches twice during our trip here. They were excellent. A large amount of Turkey. The bread was fresh and the price was cheap for KW. If you love fresh sandwiches don't miss this place. The cranberry walnut bread was also excellent. We took a loaf back to the room for breakfast.
Been all around Key West in search of the best Key Lime Pie. We found it! Look no further than Old Town Bakery. It is the best on the island. It is tart and made fresh daily.
Delicious baked goods and pastries!
Love this bakery! Had breakfast and lunch here and loved everything!
Very fresh, but I wish they would season the breakfast sandwiches. A little salt please.
Good bakery spot for breakfast.
Tried a croissant and their guava and cheese pastry, get the last one because it's really good.
Good coffee.
They open at 7:00 AM. A few people were in line already but I was able to get out pretty quick to catch the ferry.
No tables, just a bench outside.
We stopped by for breakfast, my husband had a croissant with roast beef, sun-dried tomatoes, lettuce, I had the Italian bread sandwich with turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles. It was really good and their coffee is amazing.
Our hotel gave us $9 breakfast vouchers which we used for lunch since we already had breakfast plans. We ordered key west chicken wraps which had grilled chicken with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and guacamole. They were tasty, but we should have ordered chocolate croissants and scones instead, we were just trying not to go crazy with calories that day! Staff was friendly and efficient, we’ll be back for the baked goods for sure!
Absolutely awesome bakery! One of the best places in Key West. Very delicious coffee and baked goods. The staff are very friendly. Going to Old Town Bakery is a good opportunity to take advantage of!!!
Such great charm, wonderful people and great breakfast. You can’t go wrong with any danish, but I had the peach cobbler danish and it was amazing 🤩 So yummy 🤤 You go to check this place out
This bakery is next-door to the hotel that we stayed at, you receive a coupon for breakfast each morning. We stopped in and had a scone and some kind of apple danish. Both things that we ordered were absolutely delicious.
The guava cheese pastry, apple cobbler Danish, cappuccino and iced Cafe con Leche were perfect. I also had a roast beef sandwich on a baguette which tasted phenomenal but the baguette was super hard so it was difficult to eat. Also they just put toothpick thru the sandwich to hold it together and threw it in a paper bag without being wrapped or anything which was odd. I highly recommend not getting a sandwich on a baguette and instead get it on regular bread. The service was fine but the cashier wasn't very friendly.
Also there is no place to sit and eat.
Come here every time we come to KW! Fabulous pastries, croissants and best Key Lime Pie! Open until 3.
Lovely neighbourhood cafe/bakery to pop in to grab your morning pastry and coffee to go.
After a 2 mile bike ride we were so excited to arrive at the quaint little bakery. But what it lacks in front of store size, it apparently surpasses in baked in love. My goodness, first we couldn't decide what to get between several different crafted croissants, danishes, muffins, baguettes, breads, and sandwiches so we basically got one of each! Each one just as amazing as the next. Expect some of the flakiest pastries with incredible fruit slices or jams. The coffee is an added bonus but mind the bike ride as you may lose some!
