Catfish Wharf

Big Herb has noticed this place being fairly busy on his Sunday travels through Kennett. So today the wife and I decided to see what the fuss was all about. We weren't disappointed. We were greeted immediately upon entering with smiles. We found our table and began conversation with our server Amber. It was glorious from the start. Amber took our drink order, brought us menus and silverware. We looked over the menu while the drinks arrived. The wife chose the chicken tenders and fries. I had the 3 piece catfish plate. I chose okra and side salad with ranch for my 2 sides. Her plate came with hush puppies but she put them on my plate. The food came quick! The environment was laid back. Very clean. All the staff was cool. Amber's service was strong throughout the experience. Big Herb strongly recommends this place if you're hungry and want a quality meal at a value. Solid gold! We will be back again to explore the menu further.

Got the fish dinner. Fish, fries, hushpuppies, okra and sweet tea were good. The coke tasted bitter. The ketchup tasted off also. The biggest fail was the watery Mac n cheese. The waitress never checked to see how the meal went nor did the lady at check out. This is only the second time I ate there. First time was fish also. And we were very pleased. Don't exactly know what has happened in the past couple of years but there has been a significant negative change. Would not recommend unless you MUST eat in kennett and you need a piece of fish.

This is my favorite place to eat catfish. I'm from Kennett and used to go there all the time. I've moved away and don't get to go as often; sadly. All their food is GREAT and perfect sweet tea, like I was always used to. The fried catfish is tender and flakey/ perfectly seasoned. The hushpuppies are crisp and tender inside and the pickled green tomatoes are amazing!!! Oh and yummy fried pies too...
