A very popular downtown spot. Their hardworking and very hospitable team did a great job tackling the morning line of customers on Saturday. They were friendly and helpful, even when some customers were a handful. They serve a great blend of coffee, bake and prepare a variety of breakfast baked goods and serve bagels and sandwiches. My custom ordered ice coffee and an Asiago bagel with whipped chive cream cheese were excellent. They have indoor and outdoor seating.
My second time in Maine, and my second time here! Christian's Cafe is a Maine must-have. I got a Philly Cheesesteak Panini and an Iced Chai. It was the best Chai I've ever had and the panini was excellent. Stylish, welcoming, and very clean environment. Will definitely be back!
I just had THE BEST Philly Cheese Steak north of Philadelphia. Hands down the best sandwich in southern Maine. And with my job I travel A LOT! You will not be disappointed by having breakfast or lunch at Christian's.
Superb bagels and a great bacon egg and cheese sandwich. The owner was very nice and very obviously busting his tail.
The egg was real and the bagel was good. The staff was friendly. A man, I can only assume was the owner, also came out and politely asked me how my meal was. While there, a man came in to pickup bagel that had mistakingly not been made/ordered yet and they were nice and tried to make it right.
Every time I visit this cafe I am so impressed with the food, the atmosphere, and most of all, the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. They are so welcoming ! I have had muffins, sandwiches, and soups here and they are all delicious. Customers are free to spend time reading a paper, a book, or visiting with friends while enjoying their food or beverage. There is no sense of being rushed away. It's a perfect for some r&r while doing errands!
Yummy bagels, friendly service. No salt on the everything bagels though, which I know some people prefer, but not this salty lady. Latte was perfection.
My new favorite place, the bagels are the best I’ve ever had and the staff is wonderful. Bacon egg and cheese on Asiago is my favorite but you can’t go wrong! Kennebunk is lucky to have Christian’s Cafe so do yourself a favor and pop in for breakfast or lunch 🔥
we came in this morning and the bagels were so fresh they tasted amazing! Loved our experience. Besides the lady at the register with purple eye shadow. She gave an attitude the whole time I was ordering and acted like I knew they were out of garlic bagels. However maybe she was just having a bad day. The other two employees were beyond happy spirited maybe they can share that with her.

Great bagels and food in general. Owners are great. New kids working there screwed up our order when my wife went into to order for us. Didn’t realize it until we got home. Both of our orders were wrong, but mine sandwich had bacon in it and I don’t eat pork. When I called to reorder, she repeated it back and it was wrong again. The kids working there seem distracted. My wife is pregnant due any day so she was too tired to go back. I have a broken ankle, but nevertheless had to be the one to go back. Had to crutch over to exchange the sandwich. None of the three workers helped me with opening the door as it slammed on me when I tried to get in with my crutches. Again, the owners are great, but seems like a typical situation of distracted young kids working there now. Not the end of the world. It happens, so I’m writing this review so they can hopefully be more aware in the future. I am giving five stars because it really is a great place and I don’t want to hurt their ratings.
Update: they ran out of the previous type of bagel I ordered with previous sandwich, and they still got it slightly wrong again, but at least no bacon. 👌Also, I’ve just noticed that they overcharged us all around. They charged my wife for extra bacon on her sandwich, which she requested, but didn’t get. Then they charged for bacon on my sandwich that I didn’t want. They did take my incorrectly made sandwich with bacon back, and gave me a sandwich with no bacon as I had wanted. But no refund was offered for the overcharges. My guess is that they didn’t know how to offer refunds, so just another area to be trained on. I might have even declined the refund, but it’s the gesture to get it right that counts.
