Clam Shack - Kennebunk - Photo album

The line here is quite ridiculous, but you have the option of ordering pick up. However the site kindly advises if you order pick up not to dine at their picnic table as it is reserved for in person. This kinda makes sense even though the line was pretty long. We were looking forward to their famo
The whole belly clams and onion rings were very good and also the fresh lemonade. I really enjoyed the blueberry hand pie for dessert. Alcoholic drinks were available inside, as well as restrooms, but most of the seating was outside. It was a nice Autumn day so I didn’t mind sitting outside. Nice s
This is a must visit when you are in Kennebunkport. The clam strips and the scallops were cooked perfectly...not chewy or rubbery...just absolute fried perfection! The onion rings are a wonderful accessory to the seafood! And the atmosphere outside by the hustle and bustle of the port just makes
I had a fantastic experience at The Clam Shack in Kennebunkport, Maine. The deep fried clams were incredibly crispy without being greasy, and the lobster roll was a delight with its sweet and fresh lobster meat. The crab sandwich was also impressive, and the toasted buns added a perfect touch. I've
First time in Kennebunkport, Maine and this was our first stop after a long drive from MTL for a late lunch. Surprise to see a lineup but this was a busy area. The beautiful weather, picnic tables, good vibe sets the stage for a great lunch. I thought the lobster rolls and clam strips were good but
I follow Gale Simmons from Top Chef and she ate here so I knew it had to be good! It was my favorite place in Maine. My husband and I wanted good food and a place to dry from battling rain on the motorcycle. I love how you can see the prep with the open kitchen. The food truck was fast and we got ou
As my wife and I planned our road trip this place came up on every guide and suggested places to stop. It most definitely did not disappoint, the food was so fresh and tasty it was hard not to order more. We tried the lobster roll with hot butter, the fried clam strips whic I had never had but were
I was told that they run out of clams each day just hours after opening and I can understand why. The clam chowder was beyond delicious. I wish I asked for several servings of it. The lobster roll was fantastic and the portion size was excellent. It’s my new spot whenever I am around.
Best fried clams I've ever had! The guy told me they are hand shucked just for the Clam Shack, and that there's a little piece of the clam that's chewy and they cut that off! Didn't know that. True or not, the clams were tender, light crispy batter, just perfect. My daughter has been sampling lobste
The clam shack is a fun place to visit! I had the lobster roll lunch box, and it was great. I recommend getting it with butter and mayo. The lunch box is a little bit spendy, but the lobster tastes fresh, and they give you a decent amount of lobster on the roll. The location is right on the water an
Really solid lobster roll lunch box, ordered with both mayo and butter. Love the addition of crinkle fries. Be sure to pair it with a glass of their fresh squeezed lemonade.
Quintessential seafood stop in Kennebunkport. Nothing like a good meal sitting on the dock watching the world go by. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect. Not sure how many lobster roll and clam stops there are in Maine but this one is the best!! Don't forget the blueberry hand pie
My very first lobster roll and I’m blown away! Steve is the best host! Got lucky and even got to visit with Red Sox great, Bob Stanley! And, they even fresh squeezed and made the lemonade in front of you! This place, I’ll travel back across the country to visit again. Mark it down.
This is a really fun place with friendly staff! The food is great! I have 5 other lobster rolls at other places and I would place their lobster roll as my second favorite. There wasn’t as much lobster meat as the others but it was filling so I didn’t mind. Lobster rolls are pricey period- they just
Lobster rolls are legit here! Took a big detour to try this place and it was worth it. Fresh lobster on a roll with butter, mayo or both (do both) Definitely pricey at $30 a roll but that seems to be the going rate for now. Try the 'box' for added crinkle cut fries + cole slaw Tuna roll was good too
Hadn’t been here since the Jacques family owned it. Appears to have changed a bit, but not much. Service was on point. It was nice to sit inside and enjoy a cold draft beer to wash down our delicious fried clams and crinkle cut fries as well as tasty onion rings.
Delicious food and efficient service! Chowder was hearty and piping hot, crab sandwich and lobster roll were both a must try! Pickles were perfectly crunchy and satisfying!! Fresh squeezed lemonade and chicken tenders were great for the kiddos and there was a satisfactory variety of beer and wine to
