La Carreta

The worst Cuban food ever. I've eaten in La Carreta before in many different locations and this particular restaurant is the worst. They should definitely change the cook who apparently knows nothing of cooking authentic Cuban food or flavor. They served me burn fries that were either reheated or cooked in burned &/reused oil Asked server if he can change them, he said they would be the same and to top it off, the 'Pan con Bistec' had no flavor in the meat, like if they just grilled the steak w/no salt, no seasoning and slapped it on the bread. The 'Mariquitas' we're more like crumbs of mariquitas or whatever was left over. We ask server to change them and he removed the few on top and put new ones on top leaving the crumby ones below. Not to mention the dirty rag they used and left on the table as a coaster. Definitely not a tidy or clean restaurant. Never eating her again. I would give it zero stars if I could. 🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮

La Carreta, (11740 SW 88th St., Miami, FL 33186) what a lovely restaurant, good food and service and atmosphere, definitely will be returning back. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cared about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we ordered was as Obi (the Manager) had described. And…I would like to express a personal thank you to Obi for making possible the catering for this even. I can’t stop thinking about how amazing you, the staff, and the food was. And my guests can’t stop talking about it as well!! It was a hit!! I’m so thankful for you and for everything that you did. It was spectacular!!! You are truly a kind, gentle, caring human, and it meant the world to me that you you worked with my nephew to accommodate our budget. That put me at incredible ease and went above and beyond what I expected! I love that you get a lot of food as well for the price. It's definitely not like other expensive restaurants and you only get a small amount of food. The food was sooooo delicious!!! My family who is full of foodies can not stop talking about it. They raved over the Fried Chicken, Ropa Vieja and Moro. I asked all of them if they were pleased any they said 100%. Your waitresses were amazing as well!! They took care of every guest with a smile! Your other staff was fantastic too. They all made sure our needs were met!! We would book you again and again for any future event of this nature. Once again, thank you so much Obi for accommodating us so well. Our blessings to you and La Carreta.

I ordered the lunch special of 1/4 chicken with rice, beans, and sweet plantains for take out. When I pick up my order, I noticed my total and saw that they charged me extra for black beans. I ask the lady why she was charging me extra for beans and she said my plate only has two sides. I explain that the menu says those sides are included. She cuts me off and tells me my total is $12. I didn’t argue and just paid it. She was rude and didn’t even bother checking the menu. See attached for proof of item

Terrible experience, we order food for pick up (4dishes) and the portions were very tiny. The vegetable were not properly cooked and they forgot to put one of the sides (it was charged). I will never order again and I will tell all my friends and family members avoid this place. Please stay away. Issue Sunday July 18th, 2021. Order number: 1183, see pictures bellow
