Best place! Excellent sandwiches. Our favorite is a fully loaded veggie spinach wrap. All of their sandwiches are worth the visit. Their customer service is wonderful. It is a pleasure to go to Wanamakers General Store and well worth the hour drive.

We support small local businesses. A small country style general store that has been around forever. They also have a great deli and good take out food! We like to try something different every time, and we are never disappointed!
Wonderful little small town store! These woman have built an amazing local place for people to come relax, get a delicious meal and find a laugh or two at the quirky items! Along with a beautiful selection of homemade, local crafts. You may even catch an interesting local PA Dutch ready to tell you an interesting story of the areas history or a story of how the times have changed! Catch a day where the manager, Sapphire, makes a delicious homemade soup!
Not only does this little corner store retail the essentials, but also they have a tremendous selection of dried fruits, nuts and seeds, which make for great hiking fuel. I found some old-school soda and candy flavors, which brought a smile to my face. Looks like it has a deli and a barrister, as well as a collection of local artist goods ranging from scented candles, art work made of forks and paintings on canvas. Plus, the foliage in the gardens surrounding the store are a botanist's dream!
Stopped here on a weekend getaway, fantastic home made food items! Cranberry mustard was entirely life changing
