Dickey's Barbecue Pit

1. The positives Free ice cream Manager was nice and took care of us as best he could. Free cup with every meal 2. The negative When you ask for recommendations and the staff can't say anything, there's a problem. It was ALL bland, very little food for the big $ and cans......huge pre-made cans of their BBQ sauce, beans and other sides sitting behind the counter on the can rack? That's cutting corners and makes you wonder why you spent your hard earned money. Can of Bush beans, squeeze bottle of Masterpiece and some Jack Daniels packaged BBQ would be cheaper, more flavorful.....and warmed through.

The staff is ALWAYS super friendly, and the food is always great! However, today there was a long peice of some kind of plastic wrapper looking thing in my sandwich. I approached a worker about it, but he just shrugged it off and acted as if it happens all the time. Not a big deal to me, but would have expected atleast an apology! Other than that, have had nothing but great service here.

My family decided to order Dickeys' meat by the pound for Thanksgiving this year. I ordered over the phone and asked for it chilled as we will be traveling with it. We ordered both brisket and turkey. I am so disappointed in how they were packaged. They were both in the same aluminum pan. The brisket was OK but the turkey was VERY dry when we got home about 45 minutes later. They should have been packaged in some way to prevent drying and mixing together. Still like their lunch but won't be ordering their meat by the pound again.

Ok so me and my co-workers called in an order to Dickies a couple weeks ago, and after waiting when we got there for them to finish or food, we got back to the store and everything we got was messed up. We called the store and spoke to the manager and he gave us 3 free meals for the next time we ordered. We order our food today, same employees, and we even gave the choice of when they wanted us to come get the food. I wait 20 minutes and then leave work and head up there. When I get there I wait at the counter for a couple customers to pay and then tell the kid at the counter that I was there to pick up a to-go order. His response, "Oh." Runs down the line and comes back and tells me basically that they forgot about it! So I wait, and wait, and wait. He tells the manager what's going on and he never even comes over or says anything. Get our food 30 MINUTES later and then have to pay for a drink! Needless to say I won't be going back to the North one anymore!
