The healthy choice garlic shrimp was delicious and with a generous portion of grilled shrimp. The accompanying salad was fresh and with lots of tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots and purple canbage. Visually appealing and a good value.
The food is fresh and they have a great selection of local food,chinese and american. I got a 2 choice plate and they give me really big scoops that i have leftovers for they next day. The price isnt bad either. I would go before 12 or 5 thats when its not to busy and they just put out for lunch or
The ratio of rice to meat in their musubis is off. It doesn't matter which one you order. You will get a thin really slice of meat and about 2 inches of rice.

The barbecue mix plate is the best! Plenty of variety and I always have leftovers for tomorrow's lunch (a sure sign of a good restaurant!). Mac salad is a bit overwhelming with the mayo but tasty nonetheless.
No frills kine shop. Had the garlic fried fish with fried rice. Delicious!
I order as I leave work in Hilo by phone and they have it ready by the time I hit Keaau. I get the BBQ mixed plate w/french fries and Mac salad. So good! And usually get 2 - 3 meals out of one.

I used to enjoy Hilo Drive Inn on Lanikaula and found out the former owner now works here. She brought some of the unique menu items like the curry plates to this location making it unique from the other L&L's!
A place to call when I want something quick. Plates are stacked(like for 2). Food is good(expt...chili fries- too sweetš¬)
Good local plate lunch place. Good prices. I ordered a Chicken Katsu mini plate and struggled to finish it. The meal was great.
Love the ono food and friend staff. I like that there's a good selection to choose from up front as well as other plate lunches to choose from.
