The cilantro lately has been delicious and nice organization of vegetables and the halal meat is incredible 100% recommended

Don't come here often but I like the kofta kabobs and I usually find unique flavored chips you don't see in our regular stores. The tomato ketchup one was surprisingly good and so was the other!

Maybe not the cheapest Middle Eastern food in town but at least it’s convenient and you can simply find anything you are looking for. Good smiley faces with excellent service also important to note that their fresh halal meat is absolutely the best in Katy.

So I've been coming here for a few years because of convenience but today after going somewhere else, I learned to greatly appreciate this place. Al-safa is family owned, small middle eastern grocery store which packs a huge punch. I very much appreciate the easy layout of the store, although small they have everything I want. I appreciate how well organized and arranged and I can find everything easily. I like all the choices and selections available to me. Foods have always been fresh and appealing and best of all the folks who work there are super friendly.

I was introduced to this market by my Muslim friends. I was happy I was able to find fresh delivered flat bread I have been looking for a long time, and they are cheap. If you are adventurous, I highly recommend their pickle mini eggplants. It's filled with walnuts and pepper. I took out one star because the jar of mini cucumber pickles were not sealed, the lid feels as if it was already opened.

I went into Alsafa today (07/05/15) and had an excellent experience. I was searching for fresh made hummus (not like what you buy in major chain groceries here).
I know the shop is owned by a couple and I'm assuming it was the wife who was there.
She was such a pleasant and lovely person to meet. She showed me where I could get the hummus and we talked more afterwords.
I can truly appreciate a small 'mom and pop' shop who tries to know their customers, no matter their background (you do not have to be Muslim obviously to enjoy the delicious variety of Eastern food and staples they provide, so do not be wary to try them out! :D)
The real test of taste happened at home. The hummus was SO creamy, fresh, and I loved it.
Thank you so much to Alsafa for the lovely experience. I will be back.
