So this was our first time eating here. The guy on the to was very new, but he has someone aside him helping. The Service was great. The place was clean and the employees were super friendly. So four stars for that.
We just didn't like the food.

We had a great time at JCI Grill. I’m in love with the tamales, the corn dogs, the chili dogs…and the onion rings…yes, we ate a lot. My love addiction with the onion rings and the corn dogs has begun.
I have read bad reviews on Google from people and frankly I just don’t understand what is wrong with people. JCI is excellent!

Had to try this Houston institution on our way back home from Louisiana. Amazing Coney dogs! Had to do a blind taste test of the regular cheese Coney vs. the deluxe. Both were solid dogs. Consider myself an expert being born and raised in close proximity to Detroit, the birthplace of the Coney Dog! Well worth a stop! Will definitely hit it again.

Today's visit was amazing. The dogs were spot on. I ordered hot dogs, tater tots with cheese and a drink. There was a generous portion of cheese. I can't wait to go back.
Update: 9/24/2021 went again today, the order was made incorrectly. I asked for mustard, mayo and cheese whiz, they omitted the mustard. Not a big deal, I put some on myself. I asked for tots with my daughters kids meal, it came out with fries. My daughter, of course being a 5 year old, wouldn't eat them. I had to give her my tots. There were 4 tables that has dirty plates on them, I could tell they had been sitting there for a while. I saw employees standing around talking. I thought one of them could have at least bussed the tables. All in all, the food was good and my daughter and I had a good lunch.

Although this signs have changed from James Coney Island to JCI Grill, the food, the service and the atmosphere remain excellent!

When we ask for onions on our Coney we should have the choice of small or large because the onions y'all put on my chili cheese dog we're so tiny I didn't even realize I was eating them. And also this is not what is portrayed in your pictures. People who ask for onions do so for a reason because they like them and they want to taste them. Also the chili and cheese seems to be combined and is a little on the thin side for me so I can see why business at this place has slowed down over the years because this is not what most people know to be hot dogs. To be perfectly honest I think I prefer Sonic Coney's over JCI. Just feel like I was eating a sloppy dog

I was excited about trying a Juicy Lucy, because I never had one. I was a little disappointed, because the meat wasn't seasoned at all. Everything else was great! Hot dogs are full of flavor. Fries seemed like they were freshly made.

First time we've been to this location and the staff here were Great, very friendly and fixed the food with care. The food was good but the chili cheese fries just don't taste like they used to..

This was my first JCI experience and it was a good one! It was very clean and the staff was friendly. The food took a while because someone was late to work but they were apologetic and made sure everything was correct. If I get a craving for this again I’ll be sure to go to this location again!
