Tobiuo Sushi & Bar

They have unique desserts made from their patisserie chef. The one I tried was Ube Churro. Their sushi menu changes depending on the season. They have fresh fish you can try for a decent price. Their drinks taste unique as well and pair well with the sushi/sashimi. I would definitely recommend coming here to try it out because so far this is the best sushi restaurant in the Houston metropolitan area.

Worth trying out, and We loved going here, not so special though, so we might not go again. Food was largely good, we had to send the soup back as it was too salty, they said it was because it was at the bottom of the batch and made fresh one for us. Other than that, We loved the veggie sushi, shrimp tempura and couple of rolls that we ordered. The dessert with brownies and ice cream was phenomenal. The beer offerings are very limited, and they did not have all that they had on the menu, they should at least get Sapporo on tap Atmosphere is fine I guess, the place is usually pretty empty on weekdays.

Oh my gosh! What can I say! Tobiuo was such an exquisite experience! Our server Theo was really attentive, entertaining and really on point! All of our dishes were out of this world. Really fresh, clean and you can taste the umami. Honestly all the dishes gave me a shokugeki moment… where you’re just sitting there like. Holy. This is so good! When I come back I’m definitely getting the spicy edamame, foie gras, ube churro, nigiri sets and the limited time lychee dessert! I’ll be back again for sure ~

This was our first time and everything was great. Candice helped us navigate through the menu. We started with the Japanese old fashioned. Followed by the shrimp tempura and Brussel sprouts. Then some Oro king Salmon sashimi and shiso crunchy roll. We also had the short rib. Everything was amazing. The one small issue was that the print in the menus was very small and hard to read.

Delicious and fresh sushi. My husband and I enjoyed the orange dreamsicle mocktail, pork gyozas, nigiri set, the elvis presley specialty maki, and the ube churros (although you couldn't taste the mango in the cake portion) We also has the oysters two ways - oysters were very small and flavors were different, but felt it overwhelmed the small oysters. Shiso crunchy was good, however there was barely any crunch. Just a light sprinkle of fried shallots. If crunchy is in the name of the dish, I would expect a lot more crunch. The restaurant is cute, the restroom needs an update. Our server was sweet and kind, although there were some long wait times between our dishes. Also watched another server serve the wrong drink to a guest and later serve the same table the wrong appetizer. It was entertaining to watch as we waited in-between dishes.

Incredible! Every dish in this restaurant mostly distinguishes from regular sushi restaurant, and I believe you cant find a second one like this one. Their special rolls are really unique because they have different tastes like the Garden of Eden roll. I love their miso butter scallops. Their customer service is really okay too. This is one of the most unique sushi restaurants that I always wanna go back and try!
