Ritters Frozen Custard

Always love taking my children here for a special treat. They have a variety of options to choose from or just create your own. There is plenty of seating outside as they do not have an inside area. It gives my children the opportunity to run around when they were done. Ice cream, Gelato, Shaved Ice there are so many possibilities. Toppings to add, YUM! They even sell Nathan hotdogs as combos that include a drink and chips. In the parking lot are food trucks one that says it specializes in Philly Types food.

I've been going to Ritter's for over 15 years. It's a staple of Katy and a hidden gem if you don't know about it. The ice cream is great, as well as the selections. They have a fun sitting area just out front, with umbrellas to keep the sun off of you. However, this is where I feel they could improve. Over the years the outside area has gotten worse and worse. Cracked seats, huge chunks missing from the concrete, umbrellas have seen better days and the biggest complaint Is the hideous broke down looking food truck that they allowed to park right smack in front of the store. It doesn't belong for one thing, it so loud (generator) and it just takes away from the whole place. You would be better off just going through the drive thru and finding a nice little park to eat your ice cream at. I really wish they would put some money into the seating area to fix it up and make it nice again, and please.... get rid of that food truck!
