My wife and I were staying down the road from this spot. Wanting a quick bite to eat after checking out of our hotel lead us to Kenji. We ordered ahead online and got a nice $5 off coupon and a wait time of only 10-15 minutes. We opted for simple bacon cheeseburgers, which were made with Kauai grass fed beef. You could taste the difference in quality compared to burger shops on the mainland. We also tried the furikake fries, which are a must with any burger. The flavors were phenomenal and just what we needed for lunch that day. The restaurant itself is pretty small, with dining in the back. It was decently busy when we arrived. Overall, very delicious and would recommend.
My son had wanted to try this restaurant out from the first day that we got into Kauai. Finally on the last night after a long day at the beach we stopped by to grab a quick dinner. It’s in a great location with easy parking and lots of seating after you order your food. The gals taking the orders were super friendly and informative about the menu. My son got the Kenji burger, which he thought was very flavorful and unique. I got the chicken bowl which had very little flavor and was quite dry and would definitely not order it again. Their signature fries had good sauce and were a nice addition to our other food.
I went in and I was immediately overwhelmed because there were so many great choices. I ended up going with a lobster burrito and it definitely didn't disappoint. I got the furikake fries and my only complaint is that there wasn't enough sauce. I would definitely go back. I will probably go back tomorrow and try one of their burgers! And the right next door to a liquor store so what more could you want in life?
Atmosphere and staff are great!! I was craving a salty burger but the two burgers we tried had sweet sauces and it was not really what i expected. But portions are big and they have alcohol options for drinks. Sit in the back it's nice
Great Japanese style hamburgers. The sauces they come with are great. We had fries and cucumber salad too and they were also good.
In the 3 days I stayed in Kauai, I had their Tuna Poke 3 times. Staff are super friendly. Food is super delicious. It has only been 10 days and I'm already craving their poke
Do not miss the misoyaki fish sandwich. When I looked at the menu ahead of time, I wasn’t planning on getting it because I’m not a fish burger or fish sandwich fan. Big mistake. Didn’t realize it was featured on TripleD. Only knew from the signs in the restaurant. So, of course we had to try it. It was the best thing we ate. The burger was fine but doesn’t have the same love and burst of flavor. The sushiritto or sushi burrito is worth skipping which makes sense when the name of the place has burger right in the name.

Loved the Hapa burger, the Japanese burrito and the lychee milkshake. The furikake fries were good but the toppings did not make a huge impact on us.
We sat at the picnic tables behind the restaurant and were provided with spray bottles to ward off the annoying chickens.
All the tables cleared up after themselves. We don't want to imagine what the chickens will do if they get to the leftovers!! Hehehe.
All in all, it was a unique experience. Quite fun!!

I love the environment at Kenji Burger! There were many different options and they all looked so good that I had to ask what to try. The workers were so nice and answered all of our questions. Good music playing and relaxed environment. Good place to go for lunch. I’ve never had a sushi burrito and holy wow. This was delicious. The rainbow burrito was so insanely good. The Japanese burrito looked so good that even my brothers girlfriend was impressed. I want to eat this food everyday for the rest of my life.
